摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent erroneous operation of speed control by detecting a voltage level of a clutch driving means when the electromagnetic clutch of a throttle valve driving system is in non-excited state and controlling a throttle actuator in a non-driven state when the level is a predetermined voltage level or higher. CONSTITUTION:An apparatus for automatically controlling vehicle speed has a speed memory means 7 for storing vehicle speed data of a vehicle speed sensor 1 at a given time as set vehicle speed data according to operation of a command switch 2. An actuator 3 which drives a throttle valve 4 to open/close it via an electromagnetic clutch 3b by means of rotation of a driving motor 3a, so that an actuator driving means 5 and a clutch driving means 6 are controlled by a control means 8 according to a difference between a real speed and the set speed. In this case a detecting means 9 detects a voltage level of the clutch driving means 6 when the electromagnetic clutch 3b is in a non- excited state, and the driving means 5 is controlled to be in a non-driven state when the voltage level is at an excitation voltage level of the electromagnetic clutch 3b or higher.

摘要： PURPOSE:To improve safety by cutting off the excitation of a driving motor in the throttle valve opening direction via the depressing operation of a brake when the car speed automatic control is released by the depressing operation of the brake. CONSTITUTION:When the cruise signal is inputted from a command switch 2, a car speed automatic control means 7 controls the opening and closing of a throttle valve 5 via a drive control means 6, a driving motor 4a, and an electromagnetic clutch 4b in response to the deviation between the car speed signal from a car speed sensor 1 and the preset car speed stored in a memory means 3 and turns the motor 4a off with a limit switch 4c at full closure or full open positions. When the car speed automatic control is released by the depressing operation of a brake 8, the cutoff means 4d of an actuator 4 outs off the excitation of the driving motor 4a in the throttle opening direction via this depression. Even if any abnormality occurs on a control means or a driving means when the car speed automatic control is released, the opening action of the throttle valve is prevented, and safety can be secured.

And, by finishing the acceleration shifting to deceleration from this condition, when the actual vehicle speed becomes below a vehicle speed in which a defined vehicle speed (j) km/h (i >j) is added to the stored vehicle speed, the actuator 5 is again returned to the constant speed traveling by the control means 6, which, at the same time, carries out the initializing control of minute time.

摘要： PURPOSE:To make it possible to automatically control the speed of the vehicle which satisfies the running condition of the vehicle, by generating a control instruction corresponding to the difference between an actual vehicle speed and a memory-store vehicle speed with the use of a gain constant which is changed in accodance with the constant speed running condition and the transien responce condition. CONSTITUTION:There is provided a vehicle speed memory means 3 for storing operating data from a vehicle speed sensor 1 in association with manipulation of a command switch 2 which issues a cruising instruction signal. Further, there is provided a discriminating means for discriminating whether or not the speed of the vehicle on cruising is within a range + or -ikm/h. When the discrim inating means discriminates 'NO', it is judged that the vehicle is in a transient responce condition while when it discriminates 'YES', it is judged that the vehicle in a constant running condition. A setting means 5 changes the setting of a control gain in accordance with the above-mentioned judgement. Further, with the use of the thus changed control gain, a control means 8 drives an actutor 7 in accordance with th difference between the actual vehicle speed and the memory-stored vehicle speed, so that a throttle valve 6 is controlled.

CONSTITUTION:The speed pulse having a frequency proportional to the speed of an automobile or the like is supplied to a speed signal arithmetic processor 40 from a speed signal detector 21. A constant time generator 23 produces the pulse of time T0 which is sufficiently longer than the speed pulse period at the minimum speed by supplying the pulse of a clock pulse generator 22 of the processor 40. A speed pulse counter 25 counts the pulse number N within a certain time T0. An auxiliary pulse counter 26 counts the pulse number (n) supplied from the output of an auxiliary pulse generator 24 having the period tau defined by the equation I (n0: constant integer) in accordance with the count value of the counter 25 and synchronously with the rise of the speed pulse. A speed calculator 27 calculates the real speed VX defined by the equation II. An error calculation 31 is given to the set speed of a set switch 28, and a throttle valve 37 is driven.
