An erasing optical system which performs the erasing by projecting a light spot on a plane corresponding to the position of the head plane 15a, and magnetizing the plane in one direction, and a recording/ reproducing optical system which performs the recording by projecting a recording spot modulated with the bit of information on the plane corresponding to the position of the head 15b, are provided. In this way, the erasing and the recording/reproduction can b performed simultaneously with one optical head, and the rewriting of the bit of information can be performed in real time.

    • PURPOSE:To simultaneously and parallelly execute recording or reproducing on plural recording tracks with plural optical beam spots by forming the recording tracks on an optical disk corresponding to one light beam nearest to the center of an optical axis to be grooves and obtaining a tracking error signal with reflected light, etc., from the groove. CONSTITUTION:Out of the four tracks to simultaneously execute recording and reproducing on an optical disk 21, only one track is made coincident with a groove 21d. Namely, the groove 21d is irradiated with a beam spot B nearest to the center of the optical axis among four beam spots A-D from the optical head. Namely, when focus deviation is detected, operation is easily affected by the distortion of an optical system. Accordingly, the beam spot B nearest to the center of the optical axis is used for the detection so that the influence of the distortion can be minimum in all the beam. Then, tracking offset is prevented from being generated and the tracking error signal of satisfactory accuracy can be obtained. Thus, the recording or reproducing can be simultane ously and parallelly executed on the plural recording tracks by the plural optical beam spots.

    • PURPOSE:To stably regenerate a digital signal at high speed to a disk shaped recording medium by using plural optical beam spots and separating an optical head and a signal detecting optical system. CONSTITUTION:An optical disk recording and reproducing device is composed of an optical head 1, which can move on a disk shaped recording medium D to have a spiral shaped channel for tracking, and a fixed recording signal receiv ing part to be optically coupled with this optical head. The optical head 1 is separated from an irradiating optical system to irradiated the plural optical detects a focusing or (and) a tracking error signals from an irradiating optical system, which projects the plural optical beam spots to the recording medium D, and the reflected light or transmitted light of these plural optical beam spots by the magnetic substance medium D and controls focusing or (and) track ing to the recording medium D based on this error signal. Thus, the intensity change of a multi-beam laser light source 3, the ruggedness of the magneto- optical disk D surface or a noise due to mechanical oscillation is remarkably decreased and the plural information can be stably reproduced at the high speed.
