SOLUTION: A lock-up clutch control device is provided with a means detecting an operation condition of the turbocharger 62 and starts engagement of the lock-up clutch 25 before the turbocharger 62 reaches a high output condition. Engagement of the lock-up clutch 25 is performed in a short period of time without generating a connection shock, and a vehicle is accelerated smoothly after that.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimize the timing of fastening of a lock-up clutch 25 at low speed running after starting so as to smoothly fasten in a vehicle power transmission combining an engine 61 equipped with a turbocharger 62 and a fluid coupling 2 with the lock-up clutch.
      SOLUTION: A lock-up clutch controller disconnects a pump 21 of the fluid coupling 2 from a turbine 22 so as to start a vehicle. Then, before the speed ratio of the fluid coupling 2, that is, a rotational speed ratio of the turbine 22 to the pump 21 reaches 0.7, the controller outputs the command to start the fastening of the lock-up clutch 25. Thereby, the lock-up clutch 25 is fastened in a short time without causing a fastening shock, and the vehicle is smoothly accelerated in the engine output increasing after the operation lag of the turbocharger.
