    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switching device for a material transport line and a method for its operation preventing a residual material and a material sticking to a chain or the like from hardening by accumulation. SOLUTION: This device comprises two sprockets 1 provided with a space apart, a chain 2 having protruding plates 3 moving a material to the right and left and passed round the sprockets 1, a casing 4 covering the sprocket 1 with the chain passed round it, a material supply port 6 provided in the casing 4 in the upward of one sprocket, a first take out port 7 provided in the casing 4 in the downward of the other sprocket to have an opening and closing door 9, a second take out port 8 provided in the downward of the casing between both the sprockets to have an opening and closing door 9, and a driving gear 5 rotating any of the sprocket 1. The driving gear 5, in the case the material is taken out from the second take out port 8, is made to alternately perform forward rotation in a direction feeding the material into the second take out port 8 and opposite rotation reverse to this forward rotation.

    • PURPOSE:To detect immediately a failure, such as a stoppage of a rotary part even when a motor is rotated. CONSTITUTION:An operating state detector includes a speed detector 9 for detecting speeds at rotating parts 2 and 3, a first operating state confirming circuit 11 for generating a rotating part working signal 13 or a rotating part stop signal 14 in accordance with a detected signal 12 of ON or OFF, each provided by the speed detector 9. Moreover, the operating state detector includes motor load current detector 17, a second operating state confirming circuit 18 for generating a normal load signal 21 when a load current signal 19 from the motor load current detector 17 exceeds a preset current 20 that is preset slightly over a no-load current of a motor 1, and an abnormal load signal 22 when the load current signal 19 doesn't exceed the preset current 20, and an operating state detecting circuit 26 for generating a rotating machine driving signal 24 or a rotating machine stop signal 25 in accordance with signals from the first and second operating state confirming circuits 11 and 18.

    • PURPOSE:To control the belt-speed to save energy by calculating the time for an article to be conveyed to reach belt conveyors on the downstream side, and a desired belt-speed conforming to the conveying capacity, which should be maintained by the belt conveyors on the downstream side, based on the flow rate of a first belt conveyor, and transmitting the calculated time and belt-speed to driving devices. CONSTITUTION:The loading weight per unit length of limestone on a belt is detected by a load cell 10 of a weighing device 9 through a carrier-roller 12 and a frame body 11 provided on a belt conveyor 4, and a signal converter 13 transmits a weight signal. On the other hand, a signal converter 16 converts the belt-speed detected by a speed detector 15 to transmit it. A computing element 18 receives the weight signal and the belt-speed to convert the loading flow rate into a flow rate signal to transmit the signal. A control device 19 receives the flow rate signal transmitted by the computing element 18 of the weighing device 9 to calculate the time for the limestone to reach the tail parts of belt conveyors 5, 6, 7 on the downstream side and the adaptable belt-speed, and to transmit the calculated time and the belt-speed to respective operation commanding devices 20, 21, 22.
