摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combine harvester having improved delivery performance of a culm feeding and transporting apparatus placed between a reap pretreating apparatus and a threshing apparatus to prevent the spillage of culm and the disturbance of stem in delivery and transportation. SOLUTION: An auxiliary transporting apparatus is placed between a culm transportation controlling apparatus of a reaping apparatus, a root-side delivering and transporting apparatus and a main transporting apparatus provided with a feed chain to feed and transport culm to a thresher at a constant speed. The vertical moving range of the chain of the (outer) auxiliary transporting apparatus is set to constantly position the tip end of the chain of the vertically swinging (outer) auxiliary transporting apparatus below a line connecting the ear tip transporting lug of a threshing depth adjusting apparatus to the tip end of the chain of the root-side delivering and transporting apparatus. Since the culm is transported on the chain below a line connecting the ear tip transporting lug and the chain of the feeding and transporting apparatus, it is constantly transported in a state bent to V-shape and firmly pressed against the chain of the feeding and transporting apparatus and, accordingly, it is surely transported with the chain while preventing the spillage of culm at the chain part of the feeding and transporting apparatus and in the delivery with the chain.

A gripping conveyor for culms is provided with a culm layer thickness detector S2 for detecting the amount of the material transferred to a threshing chamber per unit time. The grading controller is provided with a controller C for adjusting and controlling the grading divergence controller of the chaff sieve based on the detection information of the tailing flow amount detector S1 and the culm layer thickness detector S2. In this screening controller in a thresher, the controller C is constructed so that the divergence of the chaff sieve is controlled when the amount of tailing flow increases or decreases beyond the range of the proportional value based on the standard against the amount of transferred culms.
