    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic solenoid in which collision sound is reduced when a plunger collides, and the plunger can be always stopped accurately at a predetermined position.SOLUTION: Impact absorption means 31 includes a receiving member 35 which retreats by receiving collision of a plunger 20, a spring 36 which biases the receiving member 35 in the advance direction, and a regulation part 37 for regulating the receiving member 35 at a predetermined position. A cushioning material 40 is provided between the receiving member 35 and a facing surface 38. Consequently, impact due to collision of the plunger 20 is absorbed and collision sound is reduced. Furthermore, since the receiving member 35 thus retreated does not collide against the facing surface 38, collision sound is reduced by the cushioning material 40. Since the plunger 20 is returned to a predetermined position by the regulation part 37 and can be stopped while being positioned accurately, stroke amount of the plunger 20 can be always maintained constant.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable valve timing valve gear for an onboard internal combustion engine which can protect an actuator from the external force without the need of using a dedicated shielding member and can shield the operation noise of the actuator.SOLUTION: The variable valve timing valve gear includes a variable valve timing driving mechanism (60) for changing valve timing by transmitting drive of an actuator (61) to a slider mechanism (52). An internal combustion engine is suspended on a body frame (2) of a saddle riding type vehicle in a state with the cylinder inclined slightly to the front side. A fuel tank (6) supported by the body frame (2m) in a state astride from above covers the internal combustion engine from above so that a head cover (20) faces the bottom plate of the fuel tank (6). The actuator (61) is supported on the head cover (20) with the upper part covered with the fuel tank (6) to be disposed at a position superimposed with a movable valve camshaft (41) when it is viewed in the cylinder axial direction.
