    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for control of an automatic transmission by which an automatic mode and a manual mode can be shifted while grasping a steering wheel while the select position of a select device is at an advancing position and the shifting of the automatic mode and the manual mode purposed by a driver is surely possible.SOLUTION: The value of an output voltage of a switch operation signal output circuit 51 after detecting ON operation of the shift up SW4A and the shift down SW4B at substantially the same time is read by a microcomputer 52 when the select lever 34 is located in a drive range, the microcomputer 52 allows the manual mode to the automatic transmission 2 only when it is confirmed that the output voltage of the switch operation signal output circuit 51 is the output voltage showing that the switch is normal when the predetermined time T4 passes and the above is satisfied, otherwise the manual mode is canceled.
