In the middle of a path for releasing the compressed air for air valves 8, 9 to each branch pipes 22 by way of scram pilot valves 4, 5, orifices 19 with different flow areas are placed. When the compressed air from the control rod drive hydropressure system 2 concentrates to the scram air header main pipe 17 at scram, the air flow from each control rod drive hydropressure system 2, receiving the resistance by the orifices 19 does not simultaneously flow in the main pipe 17 due to the difference in the resistance or the flow area.

    • PURPOSE:To increase volume margin in suppression chamber space by providing a level meter to detect the upper limit of usable zone of suppression pool and temperature meter to detect the water temperature on coolant inlet side of an auxiliary machine requiring coolant. CONSTITUTION:When the water level in a suppression pool 2 reach the upper limit of usable zone of the suppression pool 2, it is detected by a level meter 9 and the detection signal is sent to a controller 11. Meanwhile, the water temperature at the coolant inlet of a lubricant cooler 6 is detected by a temperature meter 10, and the detected signal is sent to the controller 11. The controller 11 automatically switches the coolant source to both of a condensed water reservoir tank 1 and the suppression pool 2. In this operation mode, the temperature of coolant supplied to a reactor 4 and the lubricant cooler 6 becomes low and the amount of coolant supplied from the suppression pool 2 becomes relatively large. By this, the volume margin in the suppression chamber space can be increased.
