    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection valve, improving the atomizing performance of a fuel injection valve and adjusting the atomizing shape to realize desirable atomization.
      SOLUTION: This fuel injection valve includes: a valve element 6 for controlling the opening and closing of a fuel passage to inject and supply fuel through a fuel passage and stop the injection supply of fuel; a seat part to which the tip of the valve element closely adheres to stop the injection supply of fuel; and a plurality of injection holes for injecting fuel supplied to the downstream of the valve element 6 and the seat part through the fuel passage. The seat part to which the tip of the valve element closely adheres to stop the injection supply of fuel is constructed by a nozzle plate 1 having a valve seat 2 opposite to the tip of the valve element and a fuel introduction hole 3 reduced in diameter by the valve seat. A fuel passage forming plate is formed like a recessed part on the downstream fuel passage side of the fuel introduction hole of the nozzle plate and provided with a plurality of fuel injection holes disposed concentrically at the recessed bottom part. The plurality of injection holes in the fuel passage forming plate are formed at a desired angle of inclination in the recessed bottom surface and in the board thickness direction.

      SOLUTION: The fuel injection valve is provided with a valve element capable of opening and closing for performing fuel injection and injection stop, a nozzle plate 1 including a valve seat which the valve element abuts on and separate from, an orifice plate 25 fixed on the nozzle plate and including a plurality of fuel injection holes. The nozzle plate consists of a fuel introduction hole 3 of which diameter is reduced from the valve seat, a plurality of recess fuel passages 26 extending to a valve diameter direction in a downstream of the fuel introduction hole and connected to the fuel injection holes, and a projection part 4 having a curved surface separating the recess fuel passages 26. The orifice plate forms a recess bottom surface part 28 having a plurality of the fuel injection holes arranged in a valve diameter direction, the recess bottom surface part 28 has a curved shape equivalent to the curved surface of the projection part 4 of the nozzle plate, and fuel injection form the fuel injection hole 29 forms horseshoe shape jet.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that a tip of a magnetostrictive element is chipped by repetition of highly-responsive operation, a magnetostriction amount is decreased by deteriorated fuel or the magnetostrictive element is broken at the worst, causing a very large drop in flow rate of a fuel injection valve. SOLUTION: Preload can be dispersed over an end of the magnetostrictive element by disposing a preload dispersion member, which is formed with a spherical surface on one side and with a flat surface on the other side, between the magnetostrictive element and a member applying the preload. The above problem is solved by avoiding stress concentration by the preload on a part of the magnetostrictive element. It is necessary to prevent the magnetostriction amount of the magnetostrictive element from being decreased by the deteriorated fuel and prevent the magnetostrictive element from being broken at the worst, and therefore, the deteriorated fuel is prevented from eroding a surface of the magnetostrictive element by coating the surface of the magnetostrictive element.       SOLUTION: During deenergizing a solenoid 10, the force of a spring 17 is applied to a first valve rod 2 via a second valve rod 8 and the valve rod 2 abuts on a valve seat to close an orifice 32. When the solenoid 10 is energized, a magnetostrictive element 9 elongates, the second valve rod 8 is lifted up against the force of the spring 17, and the first valve rod 2 is lifted up to abut on a stopper 6 while following the movement of the second valve rod 8 with the force of the spring 4 and moved apart from the valve seat to open the orifice 32 (open the injection nozzle). The magnetostriction amount of the magnetostrictive element 9 is controlled so that the lift amount of the second valve rod 8 from an initial position during valve opening control of the injection nozzle 1 is greater than the lift amount of the first valve rod 2 to a position restricted by the stopper 6.

      SOLUTION: This fuel injection valve is provided with a valve element 9 openable and closable to inject fuel and stop injection, a nozzle body 13 having a valve seat coming into contact with and leaving the valve element 9, and an injection plate 16 fixed to a lower end part of the nozzle body 13 and having a plurality of fuel injection holes 24. The nozzle body 13 has a fuel introducing hole 21with a diameter reduced smaller than a seat diameter of the valve seat. The injection plate 16 is composed of a fuel enlarged passage chamber 22 with a diameter enlarged larger than a diameter of the fuel introducing hole 21, a plurality of recessed fuel passages 23 substantially circumscribed about the fuel enlarged passage 22 chamber and extending in the radial direction of valve, and the fuel injection holes 24 provided on outlet end sides of these recessed fuel passages 23. Atomization is promoted and fuel is distributed into each fuel injection hole 24 with high precision by turning fuel efficiently and injecting fuel through the fuel injection holes 24.
