    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove gaseous siloxane from the region between a magnetic disk slider and a magnetic disk and to obviate the occurrence of trouble, such as head crash, by arranging active carbon as a gas adsorbent on the magnetic disk-facing surface side of a magnetic head supporting mechanism. SOLUTION: The magnetic head supporting mechanism 10 has components, such as a load beam 21 for pressing the magnetic head slider 20 to be mounted with a magnetic head to a magnetic disk surface in order to support the magnetic head slider 20 and a flexure 22, for connecting the magnetic head slider 20 and the load beam 21. The gas adsorbent 30 is stuck by an adhesive to the same surface as the surface of the magnetic head slider 20 and is installed to the magnetic disk-facing surface side. The active carbon is used as the gas adsorbent 30 to adsorb the gaseous siloxane which is a contaminant. As a result, the gas adsorbent 30 may be admitted between the magnetic disks which are poor in the circulating efficiency of air. The adsorption and removal efficiency of the gas sticking to the surfaces of the magnetic disks is thus enhanced.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the positioning accuracy of a magnetic head by stabilizing the travel of an actuator by providing a rolling element, and forming a mechanism so as to support a guide rail with a housing by bringing into contact with the rolling element. CONSTITUTION:The cross-section of the guide rail 4 is formed in hexagon, and two planes 41 and 42 are supported out of six planes. Also, a recessed part is provided at the housing 5, and balls 11a-11e are arranged in the recessed part. The balls 11a-11e are provided at five places in total: three places 11a, 11b, and 11c on the vertical plane 41 of the guide rail 4, and two places 11d and 11e on the horizontal plane 42, and the contact point of the planes with the guide rail forms the supporting part of the guide rail 4. Furthermore, the guide rail 4 is fixed on the housing 5 with a screw 12, however, a spring 13 is interposed between the screw 12 and the housing. By employing such constitution, it is possible to prevent a relative position generated between the guide rail and the housing from being fluctuated even when temperature change occurs in a magnetic disk being operated, which improves the positioning accuracy of the magnetic head by stabilizing the travel of the actuator.

    • PURPOSE:To keep low moisture for a long time without incurring a large sized device or increase in number of replacement of a moisture absorbing agent by providing the 1st moisture absorbing vessel formed by storing a moisture absorbing agent having a high moisture absorbing rate into a vessel having vent holes and the 2nd moisture absorbing vessel formed by storing a moisture absorbing agent whose moisture absorbing rate is not decreased into the similar vessel. CONSTITUTION:A spindle 3 supporting a disk 2 turnably, a head and its positioning mechanism are fitted to a base 1 and they are enclosed in the inside of a medium package 5 comprising the base 1 and a cover 4. The vent hole 6 is provided with the 1st moisture absorbing agent vessel 9 absorbing moisture invaded externally from outer air via a throttle 8 and the moisture absorbing agent 13 having a high moisture absorbing rate at a high moisture is stored therein. The vent hole 7 connects to the 2nd moisture absorbing vessel 15 to absorb the moisture in the inside of the medium vessel 5 through the throttle 14 and a moisture absorbing agent 17 whose moisture absorbing rate is not decreased at a low moisture is stored therein. Thus, a low moisture is maintained for a long time with a small amount of moisture absorbing agent without incurring a large sized device or increase in the number of replacement of the moisture absorbing agent.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the dust adhered initially in an air filter from being scattered by fitting a filter member having a higher capture efficiency of minute particles and fitting another filter member being more coarse than the former filter to both the air intake and suction sides of the air flow of the former filter member to the titled air filter. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic disk 8 is rotated in the direction of arrow 13, a magnetic head 11 is fitted to a positioning mechanism 9 and positioned to an object track to record and reproduce the information. The air filter 10 is arranged at a position receiving an air flow 15 caused by the rotation of the magnetic disk 8, minute dust 4 coming externally passes through a coarse filter member 2 and a captured by the filter member 1 having a high capture efficiency of minute dust. Since the coarse filter member 2 is fitted, the dust 3 adhered to the filter member 1 in the manufacture of the air filter 10 is not scattered to the outside of the filter. Thus, the dust adhered to the main filter member at the manufacture of the air filter is removed out of the main filter member due to vibration but not scattered to the outside of the air filter.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce the track position deviation between heads of a disc device due to temperature change by decreasing the deformation of an arm support member caused at temperature change. CONSTITUTION:A fastening screw 8 is screwed to a part where a leaf spring 10 in a shape cutting a part of a cylinder is cut off to a notch 9 of a rotary shaft 7 to fix the arm support member 4 and the rotary shaft 7. When temperature change takes place, a difference of contraction/expansion due to the difference from thermal expansion takes place between the arm support member 4 and the rotary shaft 7 and the deformation of the leaf spring 10 absorbs the difference. Thus, a change in an axial force smaller by one digit order or over is enough in comparison with a large change of a fastening screw axial force caused in a conventional example where only a fastening screw is used for fixing. Thus, the change in the deformation caused to the arm support member is less and the displacement of the arm is less, then the track position deviation between heads is reduced.
