    • PURPOSE:To prevent the concentration of stress and the generation of a crack, by providing circular annular hollow rings so as to be placed along the internal wall of ring space formed in the periphery of a fitting surface in a flange part. CONSTITUTION:A valve case of a valve is integrally formed by a valve cover 3 and a bolt through a flange 2. A ring 21 of J-shaped section, protruding to the upper, is provided in the whole periphery in the upper surface of the flange 2. While a ring 22 of 7-shaped section, protruding to the bottom, is provided placing its point end to be opposed to the point end of the ring 21 in the whole periphery in the bottom surface of the cover 3. Circular annular space 20, formed by the J-shaped rings 21, 22, provides a circular annular hollow ring 12 of C-shaped section to be placed along the internal wall. When butt welding is performed in end parts of the J-shaped rings 21, 22, an edge preparation point end is melted being integrally formed, simultaneously also the circular annular hollow ring 12 is locally welded. Accordingly, the flange 2, eliminating a protruding part to an internal surface side, enables the generation of a crack and a break, caused by the concentration of excessive stress, to be prevented.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent force applied to a solid electrolyte tube even if thermal deformation is caused when a temperature of a positive electrode structure body is lowered as well as to avoid breakage of the electrolyte tube by setting a ratio of linear expansion coefficients in a radial direction and a circumferential direction of the positive electrode structure body in a battery three times or larger than that. CONSTITUTION:A sodium - sulfur battery is composed of a negative electrode active material 1 composed of fused sodium, a solid electrolyte tube 2 composed of beta''-alumina to surround this and a positive electrode structure body 3 composed of carbon fiber felt being an electrical conductive body 7 and sulfur 8 being a positive electrode active material. In this constitution, assuming that a linear expansion coefficient K of felt turning in a radial direction and a circumferential direction in the structure body 3 is set in (K=3) or (K>3), the fact that linear expansion coefficients of the structure body 3 and the electrolyte tube 2 become the same speed when (K=3) is realized and the linear expansion coefficients become mutually separating speed when (K>3) is realized, can be proved. Thereby, the K is set in (K=3) or (K>3), and the sulfur 8 is melted when a battery temperature is raised, and a compressive condition of the felt is released, and the sulfur 8 is solidified when it is lowered, and the structure body 3 is contracted while increasing strength.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain high vibration resistance by providing a means to reduce the gap between a pipe and a U-bolt, and nearing the portion brought into contact with a saddle onto a center axis in a supporting device of the pipe provided with the frame of the pipe, saddle and U-bolt. CONSTITUTION:A frame 4 mounted with a pipe on it, a saddle 5A provided between the frame 4 and the pipe 1, and a U-bolt 2 fastened to the frame 4 over the pipe 1 to fix the pipe 1 to the frame 4 are provided. A means to reduce the gap (g) between the pipe 1 and the U-bolt 2 is provided, e.g., a loose hole 8 is bored on the frame 4, and it is adjusted by the movement of the fitting position of a plate 9. The portion of the saddle 5A brought into contact with the pipe 1 is arranged at the vicinity on the center axis passing the middle between the horizontal and vertical center axes of the pipe 1. As a result, support rigidity and load resistance are improved, and high vibration resistance is obtained.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the vibration resistance of an extension rod structure by mounting a mechanism for preventing lateral vibration occurred due to vibration load and earthquake load at an extension rod which extends between a drive actuator and a valve body. CONSTITUTION:An extension rod 5 which extends between a drive unit 1 and a valve 3 is supported capable of axially relatively displacing via a slide bearing 6, and an inside spherical unit 7 is provided at the bearing 6, thereby forming a spherical joint from an outside spherical unit 8. The unit 8 is slidably movable to a trestle 11 via a plane slide bearing 9, and a hydraulical or mechanical snapper 10 is arranged as a vibration preventing unit which eliminate the displacement to the abrupt movement such as an earthquake or the like.
