摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to surely attain an antireflection function in spite of application to a large area at a low cost by forming fine ruggedness having the specific depth of valleys and specific areas of projecting parts on the outside surface of the antireflection film. SOLUTION: The antireflection film 5 is formed on the front surface (glass substrate) 3 of a cathode ray tube 4. The antireflection film 5 consists mainly of superfine particles 1. The respective superfine particles 1 are formed as the mixtures composed of conductive components (SnO2 ) and antireflection function components (SiO2 ). Binders 2 are removed by etching from the outside surface of the antireflection film 5 and the superfine particles 1 are held exposed. The fine ruggedness having 0.05 to 0.2μm depth of the valleys formed of projecting parts and recessed parts is formed on the outside surface of the antireflection film 5. The area of the projecting parts forming the ruggedness occupies >=70% of the surface area of the outside surface of the antireflection film 5.

摘要： PURPOSE:To form a ultra-fine particle film adaptable to a large area particularly at low cost and an image display board using the film, such as a cathode-ray tube, via the application of a simple method, regarding an ultra-fine particle film effective for high antistatic and visible ray reflection preventing function. CONSTITUTION:A coating liquid tank 22 is mounted on the front of a cathode- ray tube 21, and first filled with a coating liquid 23 mixed with ultra-fine particles having a large refraction factor. Then, the front of the tube 21, after covered with the liquid 23 at the preset speed, is exposed, thereby forming a conductive film. A coating liquid mixed with ultra-fine particles having a small refraction factor is, then, used to implement a similar process, thereby forming a visible ray reflection preventing film on the conductive film.

A transparent substrate 67 which is traced with the stylus 83 is arranged on the display surface side of the liquid crystal display substrate 62; and at least a nonglare process is performed for the top surface of the transparent substrate 67 which is traced with the stylus 83 and a reflection preventing process using super fine particles is performed for the reverse surface of the transparent substrate 67 or the surface of the liquid crystal display substrate 62 which faces the transparent substrate 67.

The fixing layer 13 is formed by adding a proper amt. of spacers 34 to a fixing agent and coating the electrode 3 with the resulting suspension by dipping. Since the spacers 34 do not peel in a rubbing process, they can properly be arranged and the liq. crystal orientation controlling film 23 is not scratched by peeled spacers 34. The spacers 34 can uniformly be dispersed.

摘要： PURPOSE:To provide a uniform film thickness while preventing coating unevenness and sticking of foreign matters and to form a smooth coated film by forming the coated film on the outer surface of a cathode-ray tube panel part in a closed state. CONSTITUTION:A cathode-ray tube 14 is fixed with a reinforcing metal fittings 21, and covered with an enclosed container 17 so as to rotate the cathode-ray tube 14 in the arrow mark 22 direction. At the same time, a solution 19 for coated film formation is infected from a supply nozzle 18 to the outer surface 15 of a panel part 1, and by maintaining the rotation for shaking off the solution for a fixed time, the solution 19 is spread over the surface 15 and dried to form a smooth coated film. After that, firing is performed at a fixed temperature for a prescribed time so as to make it a rigid coated film. Since by covering the tube with the container 17, the surface to be coated is overall filled with vapor of a coat-forming material with no influence of a peripheral environment, the coating and drying are uniformly performed, and at the same time sticking of foreign matters can be prevented, and a coated film having a uniform film thickness can be formed without unevenness of coating.

In this case, the liquid for application is ejected from a nozzle 9 having a plurality of holes 10 therethrough and disposed beneath and parallel to the face plate 2 being fixed to the nozzle 9, and is rotationally applied to the inner surface 3.

A transparent conducting film layer 4 is formed with an inorganic oxide having conductivity by itself such as SnO2 by spraying on the outer surface of a substrate, e.g., a cathode-ray tube panel 1, a protective layer with protruded protective grains 5 is formed on it by spraying, and they are baked for about 30 min at 200 deg.C. Since protective grains 5 are protruded, the light emitting from a phosphor layer 3 has very little complicated refraction, and most of the incoming light 8 is positively reflected. The contour of an image is made clear and distinct.

A protective film is generated by spraying a solution containing preset quantities of a solvent mainly made of silicone oxide, ethanol and isopropanol, a catalyst required for hydrolysis, water and a drying speed modifier respectively.

摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain a cathode-ray tube of high contrast and having an excellent antistatic effect by providing a colored transparent conductive film on the outer surface of a panel. CONSTITUTION:A colored transparent conductive film is provided on the outer surface of the panel of a cathode-ray tube. After an alcohol solution containing e.g. an organic dye and at least one kind selected among tin oxide, indium oxide and antimon oxide, all having conductivity, and ethyl silicate is applied on the outer surface of the panel, heating at temperatures of 100 to 200 deg.C or so is carried out to form a transparent conductive film. Since the colored transparent conductive film 8 can be formed at heating temperatures of 200 deg.C or less, it can be directly applied to a cathode-ray tube 1 completed. Formation of this colored transparent conductive film also reduced high reflectance experienced in the case of a transparent conductive film only.
