    • PURPOSE:To prevent the accumulation of sludge on a bottom part during biological treatment by constituting a batchwise water treatment apparatus by arranging a contaminate concn. and storage tank inside a biological treatment tank formed into a double circular shape and having an aeration device provided thereto on the outside to integrate the same with said treatment tank. CONSTITUTION:When a required amount of sewage is allowed to flow in a biological treatment tank 1 from an inflow pipe 5 and an aerator 3 is operated, sewage is stirred and aerated to be subjected to biological treatment for a predetermined time and, thereafter, the operation of the aerator 3 is stopped. By this method, the solid in sewage is also carried by a water stream to flow down and circulate in the tank at the time of the biological treatment due to the operation of the aerator but, when the aerator 1 is stopped to eliminate the generation of the water stream, the solid suspended in the sewage is settled to be separated from a supernatant liquid. The supernatant liquid is drained out of the tank 1 through a drain pipe 6 by opening a valve 7 and sterilized to be discharged to rivers or the sea.

    • PURPOSE:To stably, efficiently and uniformly aerate sewage by mounting screw type aerators adjustably in horizontal mounting angle so as to maintain the flow velocity on the inner peripheral side of the water path higher than on the outer peripheral side according to the shape and size of the endless water path. CONSTITUTION:The screw type aerator 2 is so constituted as to generate water flow by the rotation of a screw 2 and to suck the air through a hollow shaft 23 by utilizing the negative pressure at the front end of the screw 26 arising from the water flow, thereby supplying the air in the form of fine air into the sewage and to efficiently penetrate the bubbles in the water. The aerator 2 is mounted in the water path 13 by fixing a motor 22 to a mounting frame 21. The horizontal mounting angle of the aerator 2 is made adjustable and the angle thereof in the direction tangent to double circular aeration tanks 1 is made adjustable by means of a mounting angle adjuster 25. The flow velocity on the inner peripheral side of the circulating water path 13 is made higher than on the outer peripheral side by installing such aerators in such a manner that the horizontal mounting angle is directed inward and by operating the aerators.

    • PURPOSE:To stably, efficiently and uniformly aerate sewage by installing 1 or >=2 flow regulating plates and/or mixing and stirring bars which change the flow direction of the sewage flowing in the water path in the circulating water path of an aeration tank. CONSTITUTION:The flow velocity is lower on the inner peripheral side of the water path and is higher on the outer peripheral side and swirling arises in some cases when the flow velocities at the respective points of the aerator are measured by subjecting an aerator 2 to a required operation. The flow regulating plates 3 are installed at one or >=2 points of the circulating water path so as to uniformize the water flow of the water path over the entire part of the water path in order to prevent the swirling. The flow regulating plates 3 are so installed as to change the water flow in the water path from the outer peripheral side to the inner peripheral side of the water path to increase the flow velocity on the inner peripheral side of the water path. The swirling is prevented in this way and since the sewage is uniformly mixed in the transverse direction of the water path, the sewage is stably, efficiently and uniformly aerated.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent sludge suspended on aeration from flowing in from an overflow weir and to surely discharge only a supernatant to stabilize water quality by installing the overflow weir higher than the level of the water in a water collecting container in the shape of a cap chamber and exhausting air in the water collecting container on discharging the supernatant. CONSTITUTION:A water collecting container 2 in the shape of a cap chamber is installed between both the right and left floats 1. An overflow weir 3 fitted to a drain pipe 4 is fixed inside the container and an expansion pipe 5 is fitted to the lower part of the drain pipe 4 and leads to outside the tank. On aeration, the sludge precipitated is hoisted but it does not flow in the drain pipe 4 because the overflow weir 3 is above the level of the water. After the aeration treatment is finished and the sludge has been precipitated, an exhaust blower 8 is operated on draining to exhaust air in the water collecting container 2. At this time, the level of the water in the water collecting container 2 is raised with the exhaust and then the supernatant flows into the drain pipe 4 from the overflow weir 3 to form a siphon, causing the supernatant to be continuously discharged from the overflow weir 3 through the drain pipe 4 even if an exhaust valve 7 and the blower 8 are stopped.

    • PURPOSE:To stably, efficiently and uniformly aerate sewage with the horizontal shaft type aerator by dividing a driving shaft and driving the driving shafts discretely by devices for controlling rotating speeds. CONSTITUTION:A circumferential wall 11 of a small diameter and an outer peripheral wall 12 of a large diameter are concentrically disposed and a circulating water path 13 having the depth of a required width is formed between the inner and outer peripheral walls 11 and 12. The aerator 2 installed in the circulating water path 13 is constituted as a horizontal shaft type and is so installed as to cross the water path 13. The aerator 2 is divided to two units and two units are adjacently and coaxially disposed. The rotating speed of the aerator 2 on the inner side of the water path is set higher than the outer side if stirring vanes are of the same diameter. The horizontal shaft type aerators 2, 2 are so constituted as to change the flow velocity in the crossing direction of the water path according to the shape and size of the endless water path 13 to be aerated and, therefore, the sewage is uniformly mixed in the crossing direction of the water path and is stably, efficiently and uniformly aerated.
