    • PURPOSE:To improve the accuracy of time base correction by making the trailing edge recording and reproducing without lowering the emphasis equantity to improve the S/N of the trailing edge of a synchronizing signal of reproducing signals and using the trailing edge as a reference signal of a time base corrector. CONSTITUTION:An input terminal 1 is connected to an output terminal 2 through a linear emphasizer circuit, namely, through a parallel circuit composed of a resistance 4 and condenser 5. Also, a non-linear emphasizer circuit, namely, a circuit composed of a condenser 6, diodes 7 and 8, and resistance 9, is connected to the output terminal 2 through an analog switch circuit 15. Usually, the switching circuit 15 is closed and, to improve the accuracy of time base correction, the switching circuit 15 is opened at the trailing edge of a synchronizing signal and the non-linear circuit is cut off, and thus, the emphasis quantity is improved. When this operation is made in the same manner to a de-emphasizer, the waveform can be restored and the S/N can be improved.

    • PURPOSE:To execute an adequate chroma level adjustment, by generating a reproducing equalizer control signal from level information of a reproducing burst signal and level information of a reproducing signal, and making a chromaticity signal automatically conform with a reproducing picture signal level. CONSTITUTION:A reproducing RF signal 1 is sent to a demodulator 3 after its frequency characteristic is adjusted by a reproducing equalizer circuit 2, and is demodulated to a reproducing picture signal 4. This signal 4 is sent to a reproducing burst signal level detector 5 and a reproducing signal level detector 6, too. Subsequently, as for this signal, a burst signal in the reproducing signal is envelope-detected by the detector 5, its peak value is sampling-held, and a burst signal level information signal 7 is obtained and is sent to a differential amplifier 9. Also, as for the signal 4, a synchronizing signal in the reproducing signal is sampling-held by the detector 6, and a synchronizing signal level information signal 8 is obtained and is sent to the amplifier 9. Subsequently, a difference signal is fed back as an equalizer control signal 10 to the equalizer circuit 2 from the amplifier 9.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the S/N ratio of a reproduced signal while managing with only one head amplifier by equipping switch elements in a rotary drum and by controlling it by an erasure signal. CONSTITUTION:During recording, an input signal is applied via a rotary transformer 6. An erasure signal is applied to an erasing head 5 through a rotary transformer 8 and also supplied to an erasure signal detecting circuit 17, and switch elements are placed at recording sides respectively by a signal from switch driving circuit 18. The said recorded signal is applied to a recording head 3. The output of a monitor head 4 is outputted by a rotary transformer 7 via the switch elements and a head amplifier 16 to monitor the recording operation. During reproduction, no erasure signal is applied and the switch elements are at reproduction sides, so that the output of the head 3 is outputted from the rotary transformer 7 via the switch element and head amplifier 16.
