    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for conveying sheets in a machine for handling sheets by using a turnably arranged gripper having comparatively small mass moment of inertia, capable of allowing a gripper tip part of the gripper to cooperate with a gripper loading part and arranging a gripper device substantially without play, and manufactured by improving a conventional device of such type that is provided with a plate spring for pivoting the gripper tip part on a gripper shaft.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet discharging device advantageous to assembly and use of an assembly space.
      SOLUTION: The sheet discharging device (2) includes an endless conveyor (3) for conveying a printing sheet (5), and an auxiliary gripper (10) with a gripper bridge (11) for taking the printing sheet (5) from the endless conveyor (3) at its rear end and stacking the sheet (5) on a paper discharge pile (9) and a transmission device (13) for generating the annular circulating movement (12) of the gripper bridge (11). The endless conveyor (3) includes a lower forward inter-car section (7) travelling toward the paper discharge pile (9), and an upper return inter-car section (8) travelling so as to be apart from the pile (9). The transmission device (13) includes a first pair of cams on one side of the endless conveyor (3) and a second pair of cams on the other side of the conveyor (3). Both pairs of cams are connected with each other via a common shaft (32), and the common shaft (32) is arranged above the return inter-car section (8).
