Thus, when call control is executed by the Dp channel, not only a conventional dispatch call control system but also a division call control system can be coped with, therefore a time required for overall call control is shortened.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control compression/decompression of voice data without relying upon an exchange, e.g. a PBX. SOLUTION: When an incoming call makes a transition to a serviceable state, an ATM multiplexer relays voice data, at first, for that call by applying a first processing for compressing/decompressing the voice data. In this regard, a transmission pattern is multiplexed onto the voice data for that call being delivered to a voice line. When the transmission pattern is detected from the voice data for the call received on the voice line within a specified detection time, relay of voice data is interrupted for that call for a specified noise guide time, and then relay of voice data is resumed for that call by applying a second processing where compression/decompression of the voice data is not performed.

The device 30 increase a data transmission rate by making a call to a new line when the transmission data amount exceeds the line connection threshold and interrupts an extended line when the transmission data amount is less than the line interruption threshold to decrease the transmission rate of the transmission data.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain proper backup using a non-ATM channel of a virtual communication channel of an ATM network, without having to preset detailed information of a virtual communication channel set on an ISDN channel. SOLUTION: On the occurrence of a fault between an ATM multiplexer A and an ATM switch A, the ATM multiplexer A sets up an ISDN channel with an ATM multiplexer B, negotiates the ATM multiplexer B by using an ISDN channel, to decide a characteristic of a backup virtual communication channel set on the ISDN channel. Then the ATM multiplexers A, B use the virtual communication channel for backup with the characteristic decided on the ISDN channel, to relay communication between terminals contained by both the multiplexers.

In the case of changing a data communication amount of the data terminal by increasing/decreasing number of the trunk circuit, data communication speed from the dynamic data terminal is changed to adjust a data amount stored in the dynamic band fluctuation device and then changes the data amount to be sent to the trunk circuit.
