    • PURPOSE:To improve cleaning efficiency and facilitate maintenance as well as inspection by a method wherein the title device is provided with a wire cage, equipped in the space of the main body of a vessel so as to be capable of being taken out, and a turbulent flow forming means, generating turbulence in the flow of water carrying washing bodies so as to be transferred into the wire cage. CONSTITUTION:Upon cleaning, water, carrying sponge balls, flows from a conduit 19 to another conduit 33, a three-way valve 16 and the other conduit 32 through a recovering device 15. In this case, turbulent flow is generated in the flow of water so that the sponge balls will never remain in a wire cage 154 and, therefore, the sponge balls are circulated continuously between a cleaning device and a heat exchanger without sinking or stagnating in the recovering device 15. On the other hand, upon recovering cleaning bodies or the sponge balls, the water flows through a bypass pipeline 22 and, therefore, the sponge balls, carried by the flow of water, are reserved in the wire cage 154 sequentially. When a predetermined period of time has elapsed after switching the flow of water, all of the sponge balls are received into the wire cage and, therefore, the wire cage can be taken out and the sponge balls can be taken out easily by stopping the driving of the pump, intercepting both of a ball forcing valve 31 and the outlet valve 11 of a ball collector and removing the lid 156 of the recovering device 15.

    • PURPOSE:To permit the cleaning of a heat exchanger with the continuous flow of cleaning body by a method wherein the basic structure of the title device is constituted of a pipeline structure, combining one set of circulating pipeline with a bypass pipeline connected so as to bypass to circulating pipeline, while the flow of water, conducted through these pipelines, is switched. CONSTITUTION:The flow of sponge balls, passing through a heat exchanger 1, is regulated at the lattice board 10a of a collector 10 from flowing toward a cooling water outlet pipe 3 and arrives at a pump 13 through the outlet valve 11 of the collector, then, is circulated through a conduit 19. Accordingly, sponge balls flow continuously between a cleaning device and the heat exchanger together with carrying water flow under this condition whereby quick and efficient cleaning can be realized. After finishing the cleaning, a three-way valve 16 is switched to a position connected to the bypass side to conduct the carrying water flow through conduit 19 - recovery device 15 bypass pipeline 22 - three-way valve 16 whereby the sponge balls are reserved in the wire cage of the recovery device while the water flows through the heat exchanger through above-described route.

    • PURPOSE:To make it possible to collect and taken out smoothly the heat transfer pipe washing material which flows into an exhaust pipe line together with exhaust cooling water by a method wherein a guide plate for guiding the washing material is provided at the connecting section of a V-shaped main grid and a reverse V-shaped auxiliary grid of a washing material collecting grid. CONSTITUTION:The washing material guide plate 7 which is in the form of a band and which has a flat and smooth surface is provided at the connecting section of the convex V-shaped main grid 1 and the concave reverse V-shaped auxiliary grid intersecting the former at right angles, so as to cover the connecting section whereby the ball-like washing material 6 entering the exhaust pipe line is transferred into a washing material extracting pipe 4 without standing and is taken out from the pipe 4. Further, the guide plate 7 is provided with a nunber of water injecting ports 7 adopted to inject water from the surface of the plate 7 in the direction reverse to the flow direction of the exhaust cooling water so as to remove foreign substances adhered thereto. By the way, the reverse washing of the washing material collecting grid 3 is performed by changing the direction of the grid members of the grid 3 by a rotary mechanism 8.
