    • PURPOSE:To reset securely and easily to an initial normal position a connecting pin interconnecting a guide vane control link and a guide vane, by using a forcing-in means and an insert even if the connecting pin has transferred in any direction. CONSTITUTION:When the weak point pin 4A of a guide vane 8 has broken due to the obstacle biting of the guide vane 8 and connecting pin 5A has come close to the driving pin 2 side of a link 3 in closure process, a forcing-in device 14 is contacted with the end surface of the seat 12 of the connecting pin 5A and the other end of the seat 12 is supported on the pin 2 by 15. And the connecting pin 5A is reset to initial normal position by operating forcing-in device 14. If an obstacle is bitten between the guide vane 8 and a stay vane 10 and the connecting pin 5A transfers apart from the pin 2 in opening process, an insert 18 with a desirable thickness is fitted between the bosses 16 and 17 of a guide vane lever 6, a gate ring 1 is totally closed, and the connecting pin 5A is reset.

    • PURPOSE:To suppress the relative movement between a coupling pin and a link and prevent a guide vane from being broken when it bites an extraneous substance and is hindered from revolving, by providing a brake comprising a spring and coupling pin seats on the top and bottom of the link. CONSTITUTION:Recesses 36, each of which has two slopes 33 per groove, are provided on the top of a link 3, which faces a seat 5. The seat 5 is provided with slopes 51 at a prescribed clearance delta1 to the slopes 33. When a guide vane bites an extraneous substance and is hindered from revolving and a weak 1 is broken and relative movement takes place between the link 3 and a coupling pin 2, the slopes of the link and the seat come into contact with each other and the link 3 and the coupling pin 2 move in parallel with each other along the slopes and the seat 5 loosely fitted on the coupling pin 2 is pushed up by another clearance delta2. As a result, the seats 5, 6 are thrusted on the link 3 by a spring 4 and the coupling pin does not drastically collide against a groove wall 34 or 35 of the link 3. An adjacent guide vane is thus prevented from being broken.
