    • PURPOSE:To use the previous recording final part as the first part of the next recording without fail by providing a protrusion to lock to a winding clutch gear and stopping the rotation when a supply reel turn table being unloaded is driven. CONSTITUTION:At unloading, a winding clutch gear 3b is locked by a protrusion 9, the rotation of the winding reel turn table to gear with it is stopped, an idle gear 4 and a supply clutch gear 3a are geared, the supply reel turn table to gear with it is rotated and the tape is wound without sagging. Even when the protrusion locks a clutch 3b, the clutch 3b can be rotated at prescribed torque or above by a sliding mechanism. At loading, the clutch 3a is locked and the gear 4 and the clutch 3b are geared. After the recording action, even when the unloading is executed, even the cassette is taken out, charged again, and loaded, the previous recording final part can be used as the first part of the next recording, and the previous final part is not deleted.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce the number of parts and to decrease a revolution loss by causing the number of idler members to be one, executing the switching and transmitting of driving force to a reel stand with a PLAY mode and an FF/REW mode, providing a boss in an idler arm and executing the displacement of the idler member. CONSTITUTION:At the time of the PLAY mode, a loading motor is revolved at a high speed and a cam arm 14 is turned. During the turning, a projection 14b is taken off from the pressing part of a switching board 30 and the switching board 30 is returned to be original by a twisting spring 32. Thus, a switching arm is turned and an idler arm 9 is slided and abutted to a stopper 8a. Next, when a stop mode is obtained, the motor is reversely revolved and the cam arm 14 is turned. Then, during the turning, the switching board 30 is turned by the projection 14b of the arm 14. When the switching board arrives at a prescribed position, the switching board is stopped by pushing a boss 30b of the spring 32. Thus, when operation is moved to the stop mode, the idler arm 9 is fixed and abutted to a fixed shaft 8 and turning force is not given to the cam arm 14.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic recording and reproducing device which is economic and highly reliable by detecting the revolving direction of a winding reel in a condition that a magnetic tape is sandwiched between a capstan and a pinch roller and applying load brake to the winding reel only when the tape is capstan-driven in a reverse direction. CONSTITUTION:Regular and reverse revolution can be executed for a capstan motor 4 and a magnetic tape 20 can be moved in regular and reverse directions. By a mode switching mechanism, a stop mode, a first mode to sandwich the tape 20 between a capstan 5a and a pinch roller 19 and a second mode to release the sandwiching and to send the tape at a high speed are selected. A driving force transmitting mechanism selectively transmits power to a supplying reel 2 and a winding reel 3 in correspondence to the revolving direction of the capstan motor 4. A load brake applying part 17 adds the brake to the winding reel 3 only when the tape is driven in the reverse direction. Thus, mechanism operation for brake giving member drive in the first mode is eliminated, and the recording and reproducing device, which is economic and highly reliable, can be obtained.

    • PURPOSE:To improve operating feeling contact of a cassette holder and to reduce an overstroke by constituting to draw the holder downward by the arm of a locking mechanism in holding of the cassette. CONSTITUTION:A cassette holder 11 is engaged to be held in contact through locking arm 14 of a locking mechanism and a pin 14a, and the holder 11 and a cassette are placed only by gravity on installing positions at this time. Then, the arm 14 is drawn down by a predetermined driving mechanism, and the holder 11 presses the cassette to the position by the drawing force. A leaf spring 12 is fixed to the holder to be drawn by the arm 14, and the spring 12 is brought into contact with the arm 14. When the holder 11 is drawn at a predetermined amount, the spring 12 is deflected to absorb the drawing amount under the arm 14. Thus, an overstroke is reduced to improve an operating feeling contact.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce the moving space width of a guide body by providing a first means to press and turn the tape guide body along one part of a guide channel in the tape entering side of a revolving head cylinder and a second means to cause one part of the guide body, which goes into the guide channel, to get out of the guide channel with accompanying the turning. CONSTITUTION:A wall part 14 and a guide part 15 are provided in a protruding part in a guide channel 2a side of a revolving head cylinder 5. By these parts 14 and 15, when a tape guide body 1a is moved in this part, a guide roller 6a and an inclining pin 7a are in a parallel condition along the guide channel 2a and the moving space width of the tape guide body 1a goes to be the width or below of the guide channel 2a and to be minimum. Accordingly, the guide channel 2a can be closed to the revolving head cylinder 5 only by the part of the decreased width and an impedance roller 9 and a full-width erase head 10 can be fixed and arranged. Here, the positions of a catcher 11a and guide channel 2a to arrive at this catcher are set so that the guide roller 6a and inclining pin 7a can be positioned at an optimum position in a tape loading condition.
