      SOLUTION: This magnetic disk 1 has recording bits 12 made of a magnetic substance and separated by a non-magnetic material and arranged circumferentially and radially on the disk, and data recording areas 10 where the data tracks TR are composed of recording bit 12 lines arranged circumferentially on the disk. Each recording bit 12 has the same length in the circumferential direction. Data recording areas 10 are divided into zones 11 composed of a predetermined number of data tracks TR adjacent in the radial direction. The recording bits 12 contained in each data track TR are arranged in a certain number at constant intervals in each zone 11. The circumferential interval T1 of the recording bits 12 contained in each innermost data track TR is kept constant between the different zones 11.
