    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-color image forming method which can prevent the deformation of main paper by curling a pair of the main paper discharged from a laminator and an image receiving sheet when an image good in quality, having a stable transfer desnsity, and good in print approximation properties in transferred onto the main paper on the image receiving sheet. SOLUTION: In the multi-color image forming method, the image forming layer of the thermal transfer sheet and the image receiving layer of the image receiving sheet are made to face each other and arranged to overlap each other, and the laser beam irradiation area of the image forming layer is transferred onto the image receiving layer of the image receiving sheet by being irradiated with laser beams for image recording. The ratio OD/the layer thickness of the optical density (OD) of the image forming layer of each thermal transfer sheet to the layer thickness (μm unit) is at least 1.50, the resolution of the transferred image is at least 2,400 dpi, the recording area of the multi- color image of each thermal transfer sheet is at least 515 mm×728 mm in size, and the image receiving sheet is wound onto a heat roller so that the image receiving sheet is arranged to be outside of the main paper during the transfer of the main paper. • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image recording material having a simple structure, good light resistance and hue reproducibility and capable of forming a black colored image excellent in color tone and to record a full-color image using the image recording material. SOLUTION: The recording material is a non-silver salt recording material with only recording layers containing a yellow coloring component, a magenta coloring component and a cyan coloring component as recording layers on the substrate. Each recording layer has a maximum absorbance of reflection of >=1.0 and 50-200 nm half-width in the case where the maximum absorbance is standardized as 1. In a region of the recording material in which a black image is formed, colored image formation is carried out under conditions which adjust the maximum coloring density of the coloring component in each recording layer to a prescribed value determined by the hue of the color, preferably >=1.2 and a black image is formed by the color mixture of colored images. In a region in which an image other than a black image is formed, colored image formation is carried out under conditions which adjust the maximum coloring density of the coloring component in each recording layer to below the maximum coloring density of black.

    • PURPOSE: To materialize a heat-sensitive transfer recording method that is available for making quick judgement on the state of images while keeping transparency in a transfer ink layer by a method wherein heat-sensitive transfer images are formed on an image receiving sheet having a heat-bonded layer with a thermal head pressed against the reverse side of a heat-sensitive transfer recording material having a specified heat-sensitive ink layer. CONSTITUTION: In the case of forming high quality images, an image-receiving sheet having a heat-bonded layer is used, and a thermal head is pressed against the reverse side of a heat-sensitive transfer recording material having a heat- sensitive ink layer containing 30-70wt.pts. of pigments and 25-60wt.pts. of organic high polymer in 40-150 deg.C of softening point and in film thickness of 0.2-1.0μm and in which more than 70% of pigments are in particle size of 1.0μm or below, and the ink layer is transferred by heat-sensitive transfer onto the image- receiving sheet, and thereby heat-sensitive transfer images are formed, or the heat-sensitive transfer images formed on the image-receiving sheet are laid on a main printing paper and pressure is applied, and heating is applied as occasion demands. Then, the heat-sensitive transfer images are transferred onto the main printing paper and images are formed therewith.
