    • PURPOSE:To obtain the planographic printing plate which can be developed by an alkaline developing soln. and has excellent printing performance by incorporating a diazo resin having at least one piece of specific repeating units into an intermediate layer or photosensitive layer. CONSTITUTION:This planographic printing plate has the photosensitive layer formed of a photopolymerizable compsn. consisting of a polymerizable compd. having an ethylenic unsatd. bond, a photopolymn. initiator and a high-molecular polymer which is soluble in alkaline water or swellable in alkaline water and allows film formation and, if necessary, the intermediate layer on a base having a hydrophilic surface. The diazo resin having at least one piece of the repeating units expressed by formula I is incorporated into the intermediate layer or the photosensitive layer in this case. In the formula, R1 denotes a hydrogen atom, alkyl group which may have a substituent, alkoxy group, etc.; R2 denotes a carboxyl group, etc.; R3 denotes a hydrogen atom, alkyl group, etc.; R4 denotes a hydrogen atom, etc.; X denotes anion; Y denotes -NH-, etc. The planographic printing plate which can be developed by the aq. alkaline soln. and has the excellent printing performance is obtd. in this way.
