    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sub frame structure capable of efficiently absorbing the impact by promoting the axial collapse while effectively suppressing the bending deformation of a vehicle body frame, and promoting the downward fall of a stored spare tire, and increasing the holding strength of a seat mounting part. SOLUTION: Both ends of a sub frame 3 and a support member 8 are jointly tightened to vehicle body frames 1, 2 via cylindrical portions of floating bushes 6, 7, and an intermediate portion of the support member 8 is offset L backwardly. Collapse of inner cylinders of the floating bushes 6, 7 is suppressed to increase the rigidity ratio. The hardness of the bushes is relatively decreased, and the conflicting performance of the improvement of the steering stability and the improvement of the ride quality/drumming performance can be ensured. Bending deformation of the vehicle body frame is effectively suppressed by the offset L, and the efficiency and consistent impact absorption is achieved by promoting the axial collapse.       SOLUTION: Rear end parts of transverse links 2 of a front suspension body 1 are fixed on rear end parts of left and right front side frames 11 with bolts 13 by using mounting plates 12. Additionally, the front side of a stiffening cover 14 formed of a roughly trapezoidal plate member is fixed with bolts 15 on the lower side of a rear side flange part 8b of a cross member 8 and the rear side of it is fixed with the mounting plates 12 with the bolts 13 on the rear end parts of the left and right front side frames 11.

A steering command section 7 for producing an assist adding signal having such characteristic as the absolute value increases gradually for micro steering angle around straight driving corresponding to production of torsional torque and decreases gradually for higher steering angle is provided. A motor 1 is controlled through a drive control section 2 corresponding to a command signal added with aforementioned assist adding signal.
