The plural cutting and punching devices S1 and S2 move the consumable tubes P freely movably by feed mechanisms and when the consumable tube P of the cutting and punching device S1 in front which performs cutting and punching of the materials H to be worked is burnt and consumed by the prescribed quantity, the punching device S2 in rear moves forward. The tip of the consumable tube P fitted to the punching device S2 is then fitted into the rear end part of the consumable tube P which has been consumed and added thereto. At this time, oxygen is supplied into the consumable tube P in rear from the oxygen supply mechanism of the punching device S2 in rear and oxygen is supplied into the consumable tube P in front and cutting and punching of the materials H to be worked are continued by the punching device S2 in the rear.
