    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a torque sensor preventing the lowering of torque detection accuracy owing to the contraction of a magnetic leakage preventive member made of synthetic resin material.
      SOLUTION: A tubular magnetic leakage preventive member 12 made of nonmagnetic material for covering a first shaft made of magnetic material is covered with a first detection tube 13 made of magnetic material. Magnetic flux passes through one end of the detection tube 13 and through one end of a second detection tube made of magnetic material, the second detection tube rotating together with a second shaft. Magnetoresistance to the magnetic flux changes according to elastic relative rotation corresponding to torque transmitted by the two shafts due to a plurality of teeth provided on one end of each of the two detection tubes along the circumferential direction thereof. The first shaft and the detection tube 13 are inserted into a forming die for the preventive member 12 prior to the injection of the synthetic resin material, and unified with the preventive member 12 so as to rotate together therewith. The circumferential interval W of a resin holding space in a circumferential interval between teeth 13a in one end of the detection tube 13 is gradually made smaller toward the other end of the detection tube 13. The resin material solidified in the holding space is pressed against the teeth 13a through its contraction.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable exact detection of the torque, even when the pressure varies as working on a protruded part provided for a housing cylinder making up a torque detector. SOLUTION: The torque detector has an input shaft for the inputting of the torque, an output shaft for the outputting of the torque inputted, a link shaft which has the input and output shafts linked together to transmit the torque, a coil which detects the torque working on the link shaft, from the input shaft by the angle of twisting generated in the link shaft, and a housing cylinder 2 adapted to coaxially housing the coil. The housing cylinder 2 has a recessed part extending over the entire circumference of the internal surface thereof, and the coil is fitted into the recessed part. In the torque detector, protruded parts 23a-23f for getting the housing cylinder 2 supported at the given point are provided on the external surface of an axial part having no recessed part.
