    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus which is capable of retransmitting a packet by itself when, in particular, a port fault occurs at a transmission device within a network, without depending on any special device such as a LAN fault monitoring device for specifying a factor of that fault.
