    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control registration (used), deletion (unused) of a wavelength, and a change in the wavelength to be used in an optical wavelength conversion device installed in a user building, by causing an optical wavelength division multiplexing transmission apparatus installed in a station of a communication common carrier to transmit an optical signal of a specific wavelength to the optical wavelength conversion device. SOLUTION: An optical wavelength transmission system is equipped with: a control signal generating section for generating optical signals of respective wavelengths of a first wavelength for notifying the system about a registration of a wavelength, a second wavelength for notifying the system about deletion of the wavelength, a third wavelength for notifying the system about a change in the wavelength, a wavelength to be subjected to the registration of the wavelength, and a wavelength to be subjected to the change in the wavelength; a control signal detecting section for detecting an optical signal of a wavelength generated by the control signal generating section from among optical signals transmitted within the system; and a transmission signal control section for controlling the optical signal to be transmitted on the basis of the wavelength detected by the control signal detecting section.
