CONSTITUTION:An aq. soln. consisting of 58g ternary copolymer of acrylaminde- N-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone-methallyl alcohol, 70mg p-nonylphenoxy polyglycidol and 2g aq. 30% formaldehyde soln. is coated on a colorless transparent polyethylene terephthalate PET film having 180mum thickness and is crosslinked and cured by drying for 48hr at 70 deg.C to form a water absorptive layer. Water is supplied to the surface of the water absorptive layer to wet the layer; thereafter, the layer is cleaned and a knit fabric consisting of spun PET yarn imparted with a hydrophilic property is press-laminated on such water absorptive layer, by which the porous expansion layer is obtd.

R is hydrogen atom, an alkyl radical or a halogen atom and R is an alkyl radical, a substituted alkyl radical, an alkoxicarbonyl radical or substituted alkoxicarbonyl radical, etc., in the formula (I). R is hydrogen atom or an alkyl radical and R is a 2-pyridyl radical or a hydroxy carbonyl radical, etc., in the formula (II).

Polycarbonate, etc. may be added as a binder besides said polymer. Said polymer has superior photoconductivity and is insoluble in petroleum solvent, yet it is soluble in dichloroethane, benzene, etc. and gives a tough film.

Further, as the layer 36, a mixture of inert graphite, etc. and redox couple Fe(CN)6 /Fe(CN)6 is employed. Consequently, as the dielectric layer is cut, the ion-selecting electrode is provided with better insulating characteristic and tighter contact with a mask for porous bridge installation covering the top surface is obtained.
