    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ink composition for inkjet recording which allows a constantly stable jetting of ink drops, does not cause a faulty jetting and gives high quality images free from streaks and ink bleedings for an extended period of inkjet recording and does not cause sticking of image-recorded materials over time, when they are left stacked, and to provide a method for inkjet recording. SOLUTION: In the ink composition for inkjet recording involving a dispersing medium and charged particles at least containing a colorant, the charged particles are dispersed in a dispersion medium by means of a grafted polymer composed of a main chain and grafted side chains as a dispersant. The main chain of the grafted polymer are dissolved and its side chains are not dissolved in the dispersion medium. The method for inkjet recording uses the ink composition and jets the ink drops by means of inkjet recording utilizing electrostatic field. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
