    • PURPOSE:To enhance flexibility and transparency, to improve storage stability, and to obtain a desirable wavelength region by incorporating an electrostatic charge transfer compd. together with a specified styryl dye. CONSTITUTION:A photoconductive layer is formed by incorporating, together with a charge transfer compd., a styryl compd. represented by the formula (A is N-R8, O, S, Se, C(R9, R10); R1, R2 are each H or a substituent having a Hammett substituent constant sigma>=0.2; R3, R6-R10 are each H or 1-5C optionally substd. alkyl; R4, R5 are each H, optionally substd. alkyl, or optionally substd. aryl; X is a counter ion; and n is 1 or 2), to be used as a sensitizer for a charge transfer compd. in an amt. of 0.01-100pts.wt. per 100pts.wt. of the charge transfer compd., preferably in a film-forming component as a binder when the charge transfer compd. is not a polymer, dissolving this compsn. in a solvent, and coating a conductive substrate with this photoconductive compsn. soln. When the charge transfer compd. is a polymer, since itself can form a film, it is necessary to add a binder resin. As a result, the obtained photosensitive body has superior in flexibility and transparency, good storage stability, and a desirable photosensitive wavelength region.
