CONSTITUTION:When a steady current value is to be adjusted, the tip of a screw driver is inserted into the cross recess 2lc of a pinion 21 and rotated, and a small gear 21a is rotated. The tip of an adjusting lever 11 fitted with a rack 11a engaged with it is moved in the arrow C direction or the arrow D direction in a notch section la on the upper face of a case 1, and the adjusting lever 11 is swayed centering on a case fulcrum Y. The inclination of a release lever 10 connected to the adjusting lever 11 via an axial fulcrum X and a temperature compensating bimetal 9 directly connected to it is changed, and the gap size (l) between the tip face of a shifter 5 and the tip face of the temperature compensating bimetal 9 is changed. The adjusting lever 11 is smoothly moved, and the required steady current value can be correctly set.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce the size of a controlling board, etc., by disposing a reset lever for reversing and resetting a reverse spring and an adjusting dial for adjusting the performing position of a release lever through an adjusting link at the upper end of a case in parallel relationship. CONSTITUTION:On a side of a heat element 1 disposed correspondingly to a three-phase main circuit is provided a reverse mechanism part 90 comprising a reverse spring 9 formed of a flat spring and adapted to move reversely, and a release lever 3 axially supported by an adjusting link 8. A contact mechanism part 65 driven by the reverse spring 9 is installed on the upper part of the heat element 1, and a reset lever 5 for reversing and resetting the reverse spring 9, and an adjusting dial 4 for adjusting the performing position of a release lever 3 through the adjusting link 8 are disposed on the upper face of a case in parallel relationship, and installation of only a reverse mechanism part 90 on the side of the heat element 1 enables the size of the breadth of a thermal type overload relay to be reduced. Since the size of the breadth of the thermal type overload relay does not exceed that of the width of an electromagnetic contactor, these apparatus can be highly densitied to be contained in a controlling board or the like and thus the controlling board or the like can be made smaller.

    • PURPOSE:To provide a method for fixing a holding fixture for holding a back spring, which is held by a movable contact support connected to a movable iron core under the compression condition at the time of electrifying a coil and which drives the movable contact support in the interrupting direction at the time of stopping the electrifying, between the movable contact support and the holding fixture to the inside of an electromagnetic contactor main body case without requiring a hook hole and a recessed part on the case wall surface. CONSTITUTION:A holding fixture is formed into the L-shape, and one side thereof is used as a seat surface of a back spring, and the other side and a case are formed so that the friction force, which can hold the back spring under the compressed condition, is generated between the other side and the case. Practically, a case 14 is formed with two surfaces 14c, 14d opposite to each other and in parallel with the case wall surface, and a flat plate surface forming the other side 16b is hollowed like U and a tongue piece 16a is pushed out. The other side 16b is pressed-in between the opposite two surfaces 14c, 14d of the case 14 with the tongue piece 16a, or the other side 16b is folded toward the bending direction of the L-shape and pressed-in between the opposite two surfaces 14c, 14d of the case 14.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal overload relay, which is improved so that the manufacturing cost of structural parts is lowered and in which abutment position of a transmitting mechanism on a bimetal device is easily adjusted. SOLUTION: A thermal overload relay 1 is formed of a container having a container main body 21, in which a main terminal 33 and the other main terminal 33, a heater 4 and a relay terminal 72 for holding the main terminal 33 are held at positions upper than that of a conventional one, and supports 34 made of iron steel for bimetal device, which are respectively formed with a connection part 341 in each end thereof and formed with a screw hole and a circular through hole at a central part thereof. A heater 4 is formed into a U-shape, and full length thereof can be increased and height dimension of one main terminal can be shortened, and the heater 4 is connected to an end of a main bimetal device 99 in a connection part 341 near a bottom part thereof. The main terminal 33 has a connection part connected to the end of the heater 4, and it is formed flat. A fitting part of the support 34 is formed freely to be turned so that abutment condition of the tip of the main bimetal device 99 and a transmitting mechanism 91 can be adjusted.

    • PURPOSE:To provide possibility of easily offering a relay embodied in different contact constitution or combination comprising small width and height of cases by coupling a main and an aux. case which dividedly accommodate the mechanism part of contacts and opening/closing, and thereby forming a thermal type over-load relay. CONSTITUTION:When an aux. case 201 is combined with a main case 101 through engaging of detent projections 101a, 101b with detaining holes 202a, 202b, the tip of a slider 109 comes into the aux. case 201 to push a movable contact piece 207b to the position as shown by the dot-and-dash line, and a movable contact 206b in contact with a fixed contact 204b is separated to put it in the a-contact state. At this time, another fixed contact 204a and the fixed contact 206b remain in the b-contact state as they have been. If now an over- current flows through a heat element 102, an opening/closing mechanism is actuated to put a slider 109 into movement, and a prong 109a separates a contact 206a from the fixed contact 204a while another prong 109b returns to its original position, and now the movable contact 206b contacts the fixed contact 204b. Thus opening and closing of the contacts are performed.
