CONSTITUTION:While a surge absorber unit 8 is detachably mounted on the side wall of an insulation case 5 of an electromagnetic contactor, lead wire terminals 8c, 8d connected via surge absorber elements to lead wires 8a, 8b in addition to lead wires 8a, 8b connected to exciter coil terminals 6a, 6b are arranged on the same plane with input-output terminals 1a, 1b; 2a, 2b; 3a, 3b of a contact piece divide of the electromagnetic contactor. This facilitates wiring work to an exciter coil and shortens the work time because of reduced number of wires for control only and other terminals being located on the same plane.

摘要： PURPOSE:To detect the life of a contact, by mounting a contact-bonded terminal having a temp. sensor embedded therein to the terminal plate bonded to a contact stand having the contact mounted thereto in a freely detachable manner and performing alarming/display in accordance with the output of the temp. sensor. CONSTITUTION:In an electromagnetic contact device, the temp. sensor 14 of a contact life detector is constituted, for example, by embedding a PTC thermistor in the cylindrical part 22a of a contact-bonded terminal 22 by an insulating substance 22b such as an epoxy resin and a lead wire 15 is led out from the thermistor to the outside. This temp. sensor 14 is tightened to a terminal plate 3 in a freely detachable manner by a terminal screw 3a and connected to the relay unit 16 mounted to the lower part of the electromagnetic contact device by the lead wire 15. When a fixed contact 1 and a movable contact are consumed and the temps. of both contacts rises during the supply of a current to load, the resistance of the thermistor 14a increases and a current is decreased and, therefore, the relay unit 16 is operated to cut off the current of an electromagnetic coil 10 and an alarm/display apparatus is actuated.

Resultantly, when the contact 3 is junctioned by welding, etc., the steel is softened due to heating so that it is work-hardened and becomes sufficiently as strong as it can withstand a shock caused by opening and closing motions, and elastic. Thereby, it is possible to obtain such a movable fixed contact carrier which can withstand the use at a high dielectric constant.

摘要： PURPOSE:To facilitate even the remote monitor of contact lifetime easily by providing an output circuit for opening and closing an electric circuit on output from a temperature sensor near a contact and an alarm and indicator circuit at the output end of the aforesaid output circuit. CONSTITUTION:A temperature sensor 14a is fitted to a terminal board connected to the vicinity of a contact 1 or a contact block 2 having the contact 1, and used to actuate an output circuit. When the contact 1 becomes worn to a lifetime limit and the contact resistance thereof increases, a temperature rise takes place in the terminal board connected to the contact 1, the vicinity thereof or the contact block 2. Consequently, it is possible to detect the temperature rise for alarming or indicating an alarm, and this function can be released in the case of an electromagnetic contactor. According to the aforesaid construction, the lifetime of a contact can be detected.

Projections 21e, 21f are provided on the end surface 21d and the side surface 21a and spacing S is made, whereas a stopper 24 is projected in such a manner as to face the rectangular slit 21c of the terminal pedestal 21. A connecting metallic part 22 is ?-shaped and resilient. Its leg 22a is inserted into a hole 21c and engaged with the projection 21e in the hole 22d for the leg 22c and with the projection 21f in the groove 22f of the bottom 22e. The terminal wire 6a is cut and raised and soldered to 22h. The stopper claw 23b of a Z-shaped body terminal plate 23 is forced in the slit 21c to prevent it from slipping out. Thus the connecting work is facilitated.
