摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discharge lamp lighting device capable of efficiently reducing high frequency ripple component in simple constitution. SOLUTION: In a discharge lamp lighting device which supplies substantial DC current to a discharge lamp 20 as AC current whose power is controlled with a pair of high frequency switching elements 112, 114 and a pair of low frequency switching element 116, 118, the high frequency switching elements pair 112, 114 and the low frequency switching element pairs 116, 118 are connected in parallel to a power source 136, a discharge lamp 120 and a current limiting impedance 122 are connected in series to between the connecting point 150 of the high frequency switching elements pair 112, 116 and the connecting point 154 of low frequency switching element pair 116, 118, and current limiting impedance 122 is arranged between the discharge lamp 120 and the connecting point 150 of the high frequency switching element pair 112, 114.
