    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for manufacturing a cylindrical can which can reduce a front/back difference at two edges to be welded in a welding member.SOLUTION: The apparatus for manufacturing a cylindrical can comprises a guide mechanism 4 that guides two edges e1, e2 in a welding member W conveyed by a conveying device 2 to a welding position P. The guide mechanism 4 comprises: a first guide part 32 that guides the edges e1, e2 so as to gradually come close to each other when the welding member W is conveyed from a mutually spaced state of the edges e1, e2 in a radial direction of the welding member W to a welding position P side; a second guide part 34 that guides the edges e1, e2 to the welding position P side while maintaining a parallel state at a spaced distance provided after the approach by the first guide part 32; and a third guide part 36 that guides the edges e1, e2 so that the edges e1, e2 are drawn to each other so as to be partly elastically deformed in a radial direction of the welding member W and are guided to the welding position P with the end faces of the edges e1, e2 being butted against each other.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a special-shaped can, an expanding die and the special-shaped can with which the improvement of decorative effects of the can and the reducing of generation of deformed strain can simultaneously be obtained.
