    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light absorber that cuts well not only ultraviolet rays but also visible light within a short-wavelength region; and to provide a light-absorbing member.
      SOLUTION: The light absorber comprises a metal coordination compound composed of an aromatic compound containing sulfur and/or nitrogen and a metal ion coordinatable with the aromatic compound, and has an average light transmittance of at most 50% within the wavelength region of 280-400 nm when it forms a layer having a thickness of 20 μm. The light-absorbing member comprises a light-absorbing composition containing an aromatic compound containing sulfur and/or nitrogen and has a region of a light-absorbing film that is substantially transparent within the visible region in plan view and a region of a metal member that is arranged at a portion of or around the light-absorbing film in plan view and can supply a metal ion coordinatable with the aromatic compound, wherein the average light transmittance of the light-absorbing film is at most 50% within the wavelength region of 280-400 nm when the thickness of the light-absorbing film is 20 μm.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retardation film with an adhesive layer, in which a problem of blisters caused by moisture and heat is prevented because the adhesive layer shows no degradation with time by moisture and heat and can maintain sufficient stress relaxing property when the adhesive layer is directly in contact with a retardation layer, and disturbance in a pattern alignment in the retardation layer caused by an adhesive component is suppressed.SOLUTION: A retardation film 1 with an adhesive layer comprises a substrate 31, a pattern alignment layer 32, a retardation layer 33 comprising a liquid crystal composition, and an adhesive layer 20, laminated in this order. The adhesive layer 20 is a cured product of an adhesive composition comprising an acrylic adhesive, an isocyanate curing agent, an acrylic copolymer and a plasticizer, in which the plasticizer is included by 0.1 part by mass or more and 10 parts by mass or less in terms of a solid content with respect to 100 parts by mass of the solid content of the acrylic adhesive. In the adhesive layer, a ratio tanδ(60°C)/tanδ(20°C), which is a ratio of a loss tangent at 60°C to a loss tangent 20°C, is 1.1 or more and less than 1.3.

The pressure-sensitive adhesive layer 12 includes an acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive, an isocyanate curing agent, and an acrylic copolymer, wherein tanδ(60°C)/tanδ(20°C) being a ratio of a loss tangent of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer 12 at 60°C to the loss tangent at 20°C is 1.1 or more and less than 1.3.
