摘要： PURPOSE:To provide a stable mold not causing the transfer of oxygen from the mold to a cast product by controlling a slurry to a prescribed temperature to reduce the change in its viscosity and prevent the gelation of the dispersion, the slurry being produced by dispersing the fine powder of a rare earth element oxide in a binder. CONSTITUTION:Y2O3 or the oxide of a rare earth element such as La, Ce, Pr, Nd, or Pn is prepared. The fine powder of the rare earth element oxide is dispersed in a binder to produce a slurry. The temperature of the slurry is controlled to 0-25 deg.C to provide the rare earth element oxide slurry little in the change of its viscosity and free from gelatination. The slurry is used for coating a mold by a lost wax method to provide the stable mold free from the transfer of oxygen from the mold to a cast product.
