摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stripping method wherein the viscosities of a siloxane polymer before and after removing a residual volatile siloxane oligomer by stripping are substantially equal. SOLUTION: A silicone emulsion is continuously fed into a continuously circulating device for the evaporation of a liquid, a stripping gas is continuously fed into the continuously circulating device, the tower top fraction of a volatile siloxane oligomer is continuously separated from the continuously circulating device, and the nonvolatile tower bottom fraction containing substantially no residual volatile siloxane oligomer used for the production of an emulsion containing a siloxane polymer is continuously separated from the continuously circulating device for the emulsion.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a latex continuously by mixing a premix containing a polydiorganosiloxane and a specified crosslinking agent with water and a surfactant. SOLUTION: This latex is obtained by mixing 100 pts.wt. polydiorganosiloxane having a viscosity (at 25 deg.C) of 5,000-500,000 mPa .s with 0.1-20 pts.wt., desirably, 1-5 pts.wt. crosslinking agent selected among linear aminoxy-functional siloxanes of formula I, cyclic aminoxy-functional siloxanes of formula II aminoxy-functional silanes of formula III (wherein R and R' are each a 1-8C alkyl radical; m is 1-20; n and q are each 3-7; p is 0.4; p+q=3-7; and c is 0 or 1), and condensates of partial hydrolyzes thereof to obtain a premix, adding 0.5-10 pts.wt., desirably, 2-6 pts.wt., per 100 pts.wt. polydiorganosiloxane, surfactant and 0.5-10 pts.wt. water to the premix, and mixing the resulting mixture at 60 deg.C or below at a maximum peripheral speed of 0.1-16 m/s.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for removing a residual volatile siloxane oligomer from an emulsion containing a siloxane polymer prepared by suspension polymerization of a volatile siloxane oligomer. SOLUTION: A mixture of a volatile siloxane oligomer, a surfactant, water and a polymerization catalyst is subjected to suspension polymerization by heating. Subsequently, the suspension polymerization catalyst is neutralized and steam stripping is effected until the content of the volatile siloxane oligomer is decreased to less than 0.18 pt.wt. relative to the unit weight of the siloxane polymer in the emulsion. The stripped emulsion is cooled and another catalyst is added thereto to continue polymerization further. Then, the catalyst is neutralized to give an emulsion which contains a siloxane polymer having a higher molecular weight than that of the siloxane polymer initially prepared and has a volatile siloxane oligomer content of less thin 0.18 pt.wt.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject emulsion useful as a shampoo base, etc., capable of carrying out easy handling, etc., by emulsifying a specific siloxane oligomer with a specified surfactant and then polymerizing the siloxane oligmer using a specific catalyst. SOLUTION: This emulsion is obtained by (A) combining a siloxane oligomer having the terminals blocked with a silanol with water and a nonionic surfactant or an anionic surfactant, (B) emulsifying the above oligomer, stirring or shearing the above component and thereby forming particles having at least 1 μm average particle diameter in the emulsion, (C) adding a condensation-specific acidic catalyst to the above emulsion, (D) polymerizing the above oligomer and (E) continuing the polymerization until the viscosity of the resultant organopolysiloxane polymer increases to a desired value and providing the emulsion containing the particles of the above polymer having at least 1 μm average particle diameter. The above catalyst is a compound or the like represented by the formula R2C6H3SO3H (R is a 1-20C alkyl).
