    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for preparing a fluorine-containing polymer in an aqueous medium using a surfactant that remains extremely little in a fluorine-containing polymer particle after processes such as aggregation without deteriorating the stability during the polymerization, and to prepare an aqueous dispersion of the fluorine-containing polymer which is excellent in dispersion stability of the fluorine-containing polymer and employs the surfactant that remains extremely little in the fluorine-containing polymer particle after processes such as aggregation. SOLUTION: In the process for preparing the fluorine-containing polymer, the fluorine-containing polymer is polymerized in an aqueous medium using a carboxylic acid ester bonding-containing carboxylic acid derivative as the surfactant. This carboxylic acid ester bonding-containing carboxylic acid derivative has a carboxylic acid ester bonding which can be substituted with fluorine atoms and -COOM (wherein M is H, NH 4 , Li, Na or K).     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an aqueous dispersion of a low molecular weight polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) on a low cost without addition of a fluorine-containing surfactant.
      SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of the aqueous dispersion of the low mol.wt. polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) comprises performing the emulsion polymerization of tetrafluoroethylene (TFE) or a monomer copolymerizable with TFE and TFE without addition of a fluorine-containing surfactant, in the presence of a chain transfer agent and in an aqueous medium in which a polymerization initiator is dispersed. The chain transfer agent is at least one compound selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, 1-3C hydrocarbons and 1-3C halogenated hydrocarbons. The polymerization initiator is a water-soluble peroxide.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) aqueous dispersion composition having an extremely large crack limit membrane thickness and forming a thick film even by coating or impregnation at a time.
      SOLUTION: The PTFE [polytetrafluoroethylene] aqueous dispersion composition comprises PTFE resin particles (A) and a polyoxyalkylene alkyl ether compound (B). The PTFE aqueous dispersion composition is characterized as follows. The PTFE aqueous dispersion composition has ≤0.1 Pa s viscosity at 30-70 mass% PTFE resin solid concentration and 25°C. The amount of the polyoxyalkylene alkyl ether compound (B) is >12 pts.mass to ≤20 pts.mass based on 100 pts.mass of PTFE resin solid content. The PTFE resin constituting the PTFE resin particles (A) is a resin composed of the tetrafluoroethylene homopolymer.
