    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gripping tool for cutting a suspension wire which prevents a cut end from springing up in cutting the suspension wire for hanging an aerial cable while being completely separated from the aerial cable.
      SOLUTION: The gripping tool for cutting a suspension wire includes a pair of covers 10, 10 which have spaces 11 for arranging a suspension wire 1 and openings 12 for taking the suspension wire 1 in and out of the spaces 11, a pair of flexible clampers 20, 20 which are arranged in the space 11 of each cover 10 and face each other with a wide interval at the opening 12 side and a narrow interval at the deep side, an opening and closing means 30 which changes the interval of the deep side of the pair of clampers 20, 20, and a connecting member 40 which connects the pair of covers 10. The opening and closing means 30 is structured with a screw 32 which has a male screw 32a as a right handed screw at one side and another male screw 32b as a left handed screw at the other side, and an female screw 31a as the right handed screw and another female screw 31b as the left handed screw which are both formed on the clampers 20, 20.
