摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document reader which can reduce shock that occurs when a rear end of tab paper comes out from a roller pair.SOLUTION: When a document of a reading object is tab paper in an image reading section, alienation start time of the roller pair, which is started with detection of a document rear end as a trigger, is delayed by time for tab length compared to timing when the document except for the tab paper is transported. Thus, occurrence of shock when the rear end of the tab paper comes out from the roller pair is suppressed, and occurrence of an image reading failure due to the shock can be suppressed.
