A playback system allows a user to select a playback moving image that is a moving image to be played from captured moving images, detects a motion between frames of a moving image captured in the reference condition when the image capturing condition of the playback moving image is not the reference condition, and converts the frame rate of the playback moving image to the predetermined frame rate by generating an interpolation frame based on the detected motion.
