摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prolong the lifetime of a nuclear power plant while reducing exposure of a worker by removing a supporting structure while leaving a part thereof on the inner surface side of a reactor pressure vessel and then mounting a new supporting structure and an inner structure fixedly on the part of supporting structure thus left. SOLUTION: A reactor pressure vessel upper cover 8 and a steam dryer 9 are removed using an overhead crane in a reactor building. In this regard, reactor water is held up to the lower part of a reactor pressure vessel flange 10 and a shield, e.g. a lead bristle mat, is provided while taking account of exposure of worker. Removal work of a steam separator 11 and subsequent works are performed while filling a reactor well fully with water in order to reduce exposure of worker. Subsequently, a core spray sparger, piping 17, and the like are removed using remote operation underwater cutter and a dedicated tool. Finally, the inner surface of a reactor pressure vessel 1 is decontaminated and new shroud 5, shroud support skirt 4, shroud support ring 6, a flow baffle 7, and the like are recovered.

摘要： PURPOSE: To shorten an installation work period for a structure in a nuclear reactor and reduce a worker's exposure to radiation by preliminarily building each component such as a core support plate and a guide plate into a shroud, and transporting the assembled structure into a nuclear reactor pressure vessel. CONSTITUTION: Each component such as core support plates 5, guide tubes 9 and guide tube stabilizers 10 is preliminarily built into a shroud 4, and transported into a nuclear reactor pressure vessel 1, together with the shroud 4. In other words, before the shroud 4 is transported into the vessel 1, the guide tubes 9 are inserted in the holes of the plates 5 built into the shroud 4 and fastened with the stabilizers 10. The tubes 9 are thereby fastened to the plates 5 temporarily. In this case, the tubes 9 are jointed to each other horizontally with bolts 18 and the stabilizers 10. The structure so assembled is transported into the vessel 1. As a result, an installation work period for the shroud 4 and the guide tubes 9 can be shortened by using a shroud welder, a guide tube welder or the like formed out of a plurality of welding heads.

摘要： PURPOSE:To eliminate danger potential of stress corrosion cracking by changing a distance up to a work object surface of an underwater object from a cavitation jet nozzle which jets out an underwater high speed water jet according to water pressure around the high speed water jet. CONSTITUTION:An optimal range exists at a standoff distance (x) between a nozzle 1 and a work point. The range of this standoff distance (x) is an area in which the impact pressure distribution with the second peak of jet impact pressure as the center becomes a gentle hill shape. When ambient water pressure Pamb (gauge pressure of unit kgf/cm ) is raised, a standoff distance [x(2p)] corresponding to this optimal range shifts to the upstream side (in the direction close to the nozzle 1). That is, in a nuclear reactor pressure vessel, the nozzle 1 is moved so as to approach the part as it becomes a large water depth part close to a bottom part. The ambient water pressure Pamb and the optimal standoff distance [x(2p)] are univocally determined by an equation, and a position of the nozzle 1 is moved according to this equation.

摘要： PURPOSE:To change residual stress of a welding part in a nuclear reactor pressure vessel in the compressive direction from the tensile direction, and prevent the occurrence of stress corrosion cracking by providing a cavitation nozzle having plural blowout holes inclined to the center axis. CONSTITUTION:High pressure water 2 is supplied to a nozzle 1, and is injected at high speed into ambient water 3, and becomes an underwater water jet 5 causing cavitation. Blowout holes in this nozzle 1 are inclined by an angle theta(s) to the nozzle center axis 4. The nozzle 1 is positioned so that the collision centers 9 being an intersection of the jet center axis 8 and a work object surface 7 are put in the more slightly upstream direction than a welding part 6. As a result, the collision centers 9 of respective jets 5 are arranged directly inside of the annular ring-shaped welding part 6. Thereby, residual stress in the annular ring-shaped welding part 6 can be efficiently improved.

摘要： PURPOSE: To improve the reliability of a nuclear power plant and extend the service life thereof by forming a nuclear reactor pressure vessel and an in-core structure out of surface treated (residual stress alleviated) structural materials. CONSTITUTION: Equipment such as a nuclear reactor pressure vessel and an in-core structure after fabricated is subjected to impact pressure via the collapse of cavitation bubbles, and the residual stress of the surface of each equipment is thereby alleviated. In other words, each equipment 35 as the reactor pressure vessel and the in-core structure has a welded structure, and tensile residual stress exists in the welded section thereof. In this case, water of high pressure is jetted from a water jet nozzle 26 to the weld line of the section, thereby generating cavitation bubbles 27 at a position downstream of the nozzle 26. Furthermore, the bubbles 27 collapse at a speed of approximately 100m/sec, thereby generating the impact pressure of several tens of thousand kg/cm . As a result, the residual stress of material surface is improved and converted to compressive residual stress. Before starting a plant operation, the material surface is so reformed, thereby ensuring that proper measures against a stress corrosion crack are applied, and a highly reliable nuclear power plant is provided.
