    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for processing a composting treatment that effectively utilizes wooden chips manufactured from scrap wood as a secondary material or a material such as vegetable debris and the like as a compost raw material in the composting treatment processing. SOLUTION: In carrying out the composting treatment to proceed full maturity composting, the primary fermentation and the secondary fermentation of livestock excrements, and animal and plant debris combined at a predetermined mixing ratio are continuously performed using the secondary material containing wooden chips manufactured by processing a thinning material, a pruned tree, wooden building scraps into the size of 8-12 mm in diameter or side and 10-50 mm in length. At the end of the primary fermentation and the secondary fermentation, the wooden chips are separated from the compost by sieving the compost.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the facilities for progressing composting treatment compact, to improve the sanitation therein and to enhance the efficiency in composting work in actual operations. SOLUTION: Compost raw materials and auxiliary materials weighed per material and charged from a receiving hopper are individually stored in a material receiving part 10. The compost raw materials and auxiliary materials fed from the material receiving part 10 to a mixing tank 20 are mixed by a stirring mechanism 21 to obtain a compost material. Next, the compost material is fed from the mixing tank 20 to the starting end of a storage fermentation path 33 in a primary fermentation tank 30. The compost material is transferred in the longitudinal direction of the storage fermentation path 33 in the prescribed number of days and is turned so as to cause the primary fermentation of compost by the activation of aerobic microorganisms. Further, the compost which has reached the end of the primary fermentation and discharged from the termination part of the primary fermentation tank 30 is stored per prescribed quantity in a plurality of humidity-controllable containers 41 which are individually movably arranged. While the individual containers 41 move to the termination part in succession, turning is performed per container 41, and the maturing fermentation (secondary fermentation) of the compost is carried out at the inside of each container.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize improvement in composting work by making a device of a composting facility (primary fermentation tank) more efficient and compact when a composting treatment is carried out. SOLUTION: The turning apparatus is installed in a storage fermentation path provided as a primary fermentation tank of the composting facility. The turning apparatus has a main body frame 13 which is arranged in a standing condition and in such a manner that it overstrides the storage fermentation path on a carriage frame 12 capable of traveling above the storage fermentation path along the longitudinal direction of a trench and which has vertically expandable and contractable leg parts; and a scoop main body 20 whose upper end rotation shaft 21 is pivotally supported on the main body frame 13, and which can change its inclination angle so that a lower end rotation shaft is located in the vicinity of a bottom part of the storage fermentation path with a scraper 25, and has a width nearly equal to that of the storage fermentation passage, and on the surface of which scoops are arranged at a prescribed interval. Transporting work is carried out by switching the inclination angle of the scoop main body 20 according to the composting process and turning the compost material with the scoop parts by the rotation of the scoop main body 20.
