    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lead-free ready piezoelectric vibrator by suppressing flowing out of a low fusing point metal brazing material to an excitation electrode even under the high-temperature environment. SOLUTION: The piezoelectric vibrator has an air-tight terminal base 2 on which lead terminals 21 and 22 are implanted, and a piezoelectric vibrating piece 1 on which exciting electrodes 13 and 14 and connecting electrode pads 17 and 18 are formed, and is configured by electro-mechanically bonding the connecting electrode pads of the piezoelectric vibrating piece to the lead terminals through a lead-free low fusing point metal brazing material H. The excitation electrodes and the connecting electrode pads are formed from a high-conductivity electrode film while being separated from each other, a connecting electrode connects the separated excitation electrodes and connecting electrode pads with each other while partially overlapping upper surfaces thereof, and is formed from a low-wetness electrode film of the metal brazing material, and overlapping areas of the connecting electrode and the connecting electrode pads are configured not to overlap in a direction proximate from the connecting electrode pads to a vibrating area of the piezoelectric vibrating piece.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tuning fork type piezoelectric vibrator that prevents a low melting brazing filler metal from flowing onto excitation electrodes and allows a reliable electrode structure.SOLUTION: A tuning fork type piezoelectric vibrator includes: a base 2 with lead terminals; and a piezoelectric vibrating piece 1, with excitation electrodes and an electrode pad formed thereon, that includes a basal portion, having two main surfaces and two side surfaces, and leg portions. The electrode pad on the piezoelectric vibrating piece 1 is electromechanically connected to tip ends of the lead terminals by a low melting brazing filler metal. The electrode pad has: first electrode pads 17 and 18 formed in the proximity of a second end of the basal portion on the respective main surfaces of the basal portion; and second electrode pads 15e and 16e formed in the proximity of the second end of the basal portion on the respective side surfaces of the basal portion. Each of the second electrode pads 15e and 16e is formed by an electrode film having lower wettability with the low melting brazing filler metal than the excitation electrodes and the first electrode pads 17 and 18, and the first electrode pads 17 and 18 are connected by the low melting brazing filler metal.
