摘要： A pleural pressure is predicted from pleural pressure based upon pulse wave signals, which are continuously produced and picked up in a time sequential manner. A first variation signal indicative of a condition of a variation contained in the pulse wave signals is acquired based upon the pulse wave signals. A second variation signal representative of a condition of a variation contained in the first variation signal is acquired based upon the first variation signal. The pleural pressure is predicted based on a difference between the first variation signal and the second variation signal.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the pulse rate synchronized with a cardiac rate not only during rest but in daily life and during exercise as well. SOLUTION: A program for calculating the pulse rate is built into a microcomputer 3c. This program is made up of such an algorithm which can calculate the pulse rate approximately coinciding with the cardiac rate even if there is disturbance of bloodstream in pulse waves. The characteristics of the algorithm lie in that two kinds of the pulse wave signals simultaneously measured by using two kinds of light emitting elements 2a varying in wavelengths from each other are inputted to a neural network and that the pulse waves approximately coinciding in the peak of amplitude with the pulse wave signals measured in the state of having no bodily movements are reproduced. As a result, the reproduction of the pulse waves having the peak of the amplitude synthesized with the heartbeat is made possible from signals having the disturbance of the bloodstream and the pulse rate synchronized with the cardiac rate may be detected from the reproduced pulse waves.
