    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a blackened shield mesh for a plasma display front plate having excellent cost performance and high blackness and capable of solving a problem of low blackness, on manufacturing the electromagnetic wave shield mesh adopted for a plasma display wherein a front face is blackened to improve visibility. SOLUTION: The above problem can be solved by manufacturing the blackened plasma display front plate by following processes (1)-(5). The process (1) is to adhere a copper foil 2 to a transparent resin sheet 1. The process (2) is to etch the copper foil 2 adhered by the process (1) to form a predetermined mesh pattern 20. The process (3) is to execute a degreasing treatment and a treatment for increasing surface roughness as required. The process (4) is to coat a surface of the mesh pattern 20 with a black iron-copper-carbon eutectoid 4 by electroplating. The process (5) is to wash in water and dry as required.
