    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine intake device capable of suppressing dispersion of EGR gas of distribution property to each branch pipe while improving intake air filling efficiency to a cylinder. SOLUTION: The intake device is provided with branch pipes communicating to a plurality of cylinders respectively, a surge tank to which each branch pipe is communicated in parallel in an upstream side, and an intake passage communicating to the surge tank from one side of a branch pipe parallel direction. A main chamber directly communicating to each branch pipe, and am auxiliary chamber divided from the main chamber by a bulkhead provided in the surge tank with extending in the branch pipe parallel direction and communicating to the main chamber via a first opening part formed on the bulkhead are formed in the surge tank. The device is provided with a first valve controlled to close the first opening part in an engine low speed region and opening the first opening part in a high speed region. Then, the first valve is controlled to open the first opening part under low and middle speed light load condition where EGR gas is supplied from an upstream side of the surge tank.
