    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric double-layer capacitor that uses a simplified fixation method for a winding type capacitor not to greatly increase the number of parts and has an improved reliability to an external force as a result, and to provide its manufacturing method.
      SOLUTION: The winding type capacitor 11 is inserted into a fixing member 16 that is made of shape memory alloy and is deformed like a ring, and it is punt into a metallic case 15. Then, the fixing member 16 is restored to the original shape, thereby bringing the fixing member 16 into contact with the outer circumference of the capacitor 11 and the inner circumference of the metallic case 15. Due to such a structure, the capacitor 11 can be fixed in the same effective manner as in a case where it is fixed by the metallic case 15, resulting in the improved reliability of the electric double-layer capacitor.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-retention type reed switch and its manufacturing method using a semi-hard magnetic material which is available with a suitably cost even in a small amount, and of comparatively low cost.
      SOLUTION: The offset contact point type reed switch is equipped with: a pair of reeds 1a, 1b made of a magnetic material with a contact point parts 3a, 3b at their tips; a movable part 4 sealing the contact point parts 3a, 3b faced with each other by glass 2 and with the movable reed 1b continued to the contact point part 3b of the tip; and a supporting part 5b supporting the movable part 4 through a boundary part with a thickness continuously changed to the movable part 4. The fixed reed 1a is integrally equipped with a contact point part 3a of the tip and the supporting part 5a, the contact point part is made to be contacted with or released from a magnetic field impressed on the reed. The fixed reed 1a forms a rectangular solid and is made of a semi-hard magnetic material.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize an electric double layer capacitor enclosed in a square shaped case wherein current collectors of a positive electrode and a negative electrode having polarizable electrode layers on the surfaces thereof are laminated with a separator interposed between them. SOLUTION: The capacitor 7 is formed by making a positive electrode current extraction portion 3a, a negative electrode current extraction portion 3b integrated with a positive electrode current collector 1a, a negative electrode current collector 1b respectively, and disposing them in a opposed relation in the direction perpendicular to the lamination direction of the current collectors, and laminating them integratedly, and then bending them along the laminated body of the current collectors with an insulator 5 being interposed between them. In such a structure, the current extraction portions have no projecting portion so that unnecessary space that does not contribute to an electrostatic capacity becomes very small in the case enclosing the capacitor element, thus the square-shaped electric double layer capacitor can be miniaturized.
