    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce generation of soot during operation of a flare stack by reinforcing complete combustion of unnecessary chemical substances.
      SOLUTION: High-pressure air is discharged in a shape of a jet moving in high speed from a nozzle mounted to a ring inside the flare stack placed to have a predetermined distance from a flare end. A stack wall part on the downstream side of the jet is bored by an air passage so as to introduce the atmosphere therein. The movement of the high-speed air introduces a lot of air from the atmosphere which flows in the stack and rises to a flame region, which raises flames to reinforce air in the flame region and mixing caused by a turbulent flow of gas. A suitable stoichiometric oxygen amount which ensures the complete combustion is determined by measurement of flow rate change of combustion gas and/or unnecessary chemical substances. Adjustment of a flow rate control valve is carried out so as to introduce a predetermined amount of the pressurized air and/or the atmosphere to a flare ring end.
