    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a torque measurement unit for a brake dynamometer, capable of accurately measuring a drag torque in a brake including a rotation body and a pressure body to be pressurized against the rotation body.SOLUTION: A torque measurement unit 100 includes a first rocking shaft 111 for supporting a caliper 92 of a disk brake 90. The first rocking shaft 111 is rockably supported with respect to a cylindrically formed second rocking shaft 106. The second rocking shaft 106 is supported onto a support base 103 so as to be rockable around an axial line. A front lock mechanism 112 and a rear lock mechanism 118 are arranged at the both ends of the second rocking shaft 106 so as to allow the first rocking shaft 111 to be removably fixed. A first rocking shaft torque detector constituted by a first rocking shaft load cell 120 and a load cell pressure part 122 is arranged between the first rocking shaft 111 and the second rocking shaft 106, thereby to measure a drag torque.

The inner swing shaft 111 is supported to swing by hydrostatic bearings 110a, 110b, and 110c in an outer swing shaft 106 formed into a cylindrical form. The inner swing shaft 111 is supported by an axial bearing (thrust bearing) 130 via a boss 122. The axial bearing 130 includes an axial plate 132 to which the small-diameter part 122a of the boss 122 is fitted and a disk pad 133 holding the axial plate 132 in a cylindrical housing 131, and regulates the displacement (shifting) of the inner swing shaft 111 in the axial direction.
